Yeah that's what I had in mind. I was also thinking about our run too but then I realized that while it was iceday in my screenshot we could have ported up at the very end of windsday.

I'm also a RDM leader. In fact, our three leaders are RDM RDM BRD lol. And yeah, it is hard to lead and do stuff, esp because at the moment my ls is in revolving door mode, so we never have a run where everyone already knows what to do. Also, still no LBC win for us (we have horrible luck and alot of unskilled players), but I'm looking forward to the day we actually win.
My group on Titan just did this run tonight.
Enter time: 11:16PM EST.
Cleared 2 rooms of Puks. We tried to do the widescan trick, but spent too much time pussyfooting around making sure we pulled the right mob. We decided to just kill everything and next time someone will change the zone DATs to make it easier. Invis up and went to cockatrices. Also cleared 2 rooms. Somewhere along the way, someone aggro'd a Zenist. We didn't kill it tho and just slept it. We cleared 2 rooms of both raptors and bugards and then decided to zone up from the NE after the Zenist picked up a bunch of friends following us.
Zoning up to Floor 2 time: 11:45PM EST.
Cleared the room of all the lizards for belt/waist and body cells. Mamool popped, but we didn't touch it. Zoned up to third floor.
Zoning up to Floor 3 time: 11:51 PM EST.
Went along the south path and cleared the 3 smaller rooms of 4 Mamool. We didn't touch anything in the long room in the south. Zoned up.
Zoning up to Floor 4 time: 11:59 PM EST.
If you do the math, it is roughly 45 minutes to reach Floor 4. We noticed that Poroggo Madame was up and pulled it along with 3-4 Gents. Killed it and it dropped absolutely nothing along with a chest. Killed the other gents and zoned up.
Zoning up to Floor 5 time: 12:14AM EST.
The original plan was to have a THF PD and Flee in order to train all of the gears + the chariot away from the porter, but it didn't quite work. He died before getting far enough away so mayhem ensued as everyone tried to reach the teleporter. We ended up losing 10-15 minutes between raising the dead and waiting for weakness. One thing I did notice was the Poroggo Madame was not up on this floor.
Zoning up to Floor 6 time: 12:25AM EST.
Killed the chariot plus all of the gear/gears in order to open the door. This took a lot of time. Is it necessary to kill everything in order to unlock the door or did we waste time killing unnecessary stuff? I don't remember when we zoned up to floor 7, but we had 1 minute left as we zoned. Needless to say we weren't able to win. =/
necessary to kill everything in the main room (gears + chariot)
Screenshots later if anyone cares.
Popped Madame on 4F, was #4 in the DAT file.
We sac pulled it very easily, clean pull to the teleporter room (where QQTH is in Arrapago). Frog Chorus or w/e doesn't last very long, so we just DOTd it and it wouldn't Regen during charm. He's quite a wimp, they were fighting it with 5 since I sac'd:
WHM/noSub
RDM/WHM
RDM/noSub
WAR/NIN
MNK/NIN
and I was on MNK/NIN.
Since Poroggos stop to cast and don't melee, it's very easy to gradually pull the adds away before dying, while the MNK and the WAR chi/voked and ran to the tele room so he'd follow. Other than a couple water bombs at the end he was very easy. Fortunately, the DOTs wore off at 1% when he charmed us so it didn't die unclaimed. Killed it down from 40% again and no drop.
Entered: 10:07:20
1F
Killed the 4 inner rooms, 2 more raptors, and 3 bugards (our WHM accidentally passed second magic cell so we had to get a 7th, np). 0 aggro on any Mamools.
Ported up at ~10:31:20
2F
Killed all but 1 lizard in NE room, 3 dropped stuff, 2 bodies dropped and some virga etc, and we left the last lizard behind.
Ported up at ~10:39:20
3F
Killed the first 2 rooms of mamools, then 2/4 of the mamools in the last room. I got them to pull a 3rd while I ran to the porter, and they killed it just before I got there.
Ported up at around 10:51, which is about 1min before 45min, so it was between 40 and 45min.
4F
Poroggo Madame was up as I described before, and again it was #4 in the DATs if that matters. This seems really easy to pop now, but I think it's a matter of which conditions are true.
Don't aggro/kill Mamools on 1F?
Don't pop/aggro/kill Mamools on 2F?
Arrive between 40 and 45 minute mark?
Lotsa fun.
This thread needs more 4F N Madames. I wonder if it has a different pop condition than the 4F S.
Just went over my parse here.
Draco Lizard 9,12,14,15 (of 9-16) in the NE room dropped stuff, the rest didn't. It appears to be random but I'll compare to next run.
Doesn't appear random to me.Originally Posted by WizerdRemora

Yeah, i'm more interested in North so I can finish the usukane feet! those are so /drool.. We will do a run sometime within the next week and try to mimic our run that popped the S madame and see if we can get the N to pop..Originally Posted by Sci
I'm curious if time is really a condition for popping the Madames here. It really sounds dubious, since this imposed 40-45 minute limit will also shut down attempts to do more than one NM in the zone per run.
For example, I went to Zhayolm yesterday intending to pop the 3N and 4N Madames. We avoided every Zenist completely on the first floor, never cleared a wing to pop a Poroggo Gent, left one Draco Lizard alive in the 2nd floor NE room, but there is no possible way to clear out all the mobs on the north side of the 3rd floor, defeat the Madame, and arrive at the 4th floor in 40-45 minutes from zone entry.
Unless the case is, "since five 15s are 100% drop over 2 mobs going north, you only get to choose one NM per run then you may as well GTFO," which is a simplified version of Silver Sea. Furthermore, this case would support the possibility of accessible 35s on the fifth floor regardless of the side from which you enter. My money is on either the chariots on both side of the portal room (a la Arrapago 5th floor, as mentioned before), or those suspicious ramparts in the dead-end rooms-- another rampart puzzle!?
=/ i'm starting to give up on leading and actually fighting, but sometimes its necessary. But it is frustrating at times, so I guess i have to do like aurik and be the persont hat opens chests and all that other junk that waste time because you have 4-5 people trying to see whats int he chest. instead of pulling and fighting.
I highly doubt it's the chariots or ramparts. In Arrapago the chariot doesn't even pop until you open the door. In Zhayolm the chariot is always up. In Arrapago there's only one chariot in the zone, in Zhayolm there's 2.
Even if it's a time based condition, which honestly seems highly likely now given that it's popped 3 times in a row when people get there between 40 and 45 minutes, whose to say you can't do an immediate sac pull of the madame, kill it, and warp in less than 10 minutes in order to also have a chance at fighting the 5th floor one? It shouldn't take that long to kill.
I don't think it's impossible for a well disciplined group to hit multiple NMs. If the theory is correct and the 4th and 5th floor NMs (southern path) are "windowed" at 40-45 and 50-55 minutes respectively, and the 5th floor Chariot is our "missing link" then you could potentially hit all 3 in a single run (with alot of luck). Unfortunately, the 6th floor NM remains a total mistery but I'm willing to bet that at best 3 NMs per run are possible.
Entering the 4th floor at ~40 mins means you have about 2 minutes to sac pull the NM, about 5 minutes to kill it (probably requiring 2hours) and the remaining 8 minutes to open the portal such that you enter the 5th floor before the 55 minute mark. Once you're on the 5th floor then you should have more then enough time to kill the second NM, clear all of gear mobs and pound the chariot.
Recall that in Arrapago other NMs also don't pop until you open the door (QQA and QQTH) whereas NMs in Zhayolm are up upon entering the floor (like the chariot). To me there is definitely a parallel there but like I said, it's purely speculation.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Hmm... wonder if hitting the door on floor 1 or Arrapago is what makes the Rampart there spawn. Don't think many would bother with the Sabotender regardless, even if it did drop something it's sort of a time sink and not as easy as the other NMs.
If you can kill it before it pops the Sabo, you can get some nice Rampart cells on 1f.Originally Posted by Lindstrom
I'm kinda pulling at straws here, but has anyone killed the ramparts on 6F without any reinforcements pops or other particular moves? I'm thinking along the lines of the Bhaflau 3F "Kill gears before Restoral" concept. It seems like the machinery in the main room wouldn't have anything to do with Madame since it's clear already that they are necessary to unseal the door to 7F. Also, any time I've been in Zhayolm we never even touched the ramparts.
It's triggered by killing a random lamia on 1f, we sat a scout there one time.Originally Posted by Lindstrom
Just to be technical, do you mean Lamia or Merrow? Or just Lamia?
Lamia or Merrow (there doesn't seem to be any functional difference)Originally Posted by Not Kuno
