    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Pretty sure you do, the large room has the 16 I believe. We did this run tonight and cleared that large room only and killed the rampart but NM didn't pop. Ran back and killed the other 12 and Madame was up when we went back. I'd say the number of Mamool you have to kill is 28 or so.

I don't know if this has been tried so please call me lazy for not checking in the thread somewhere but it could be worth trying to possibly pop the Madames on 6th floor. Has anyone tried killing every single Mamool in the zone? That would be the 4 on the first floor, the 4 that pop after you clear each room on the second floor, the 50 or so on the third floor clearing both North and South, and the ones on the fourth floor depending which teleport you take. I only question this because if the third floor Madames pops this way, maybe it could be possible the 6th is linked to them all just as the third is linked to their own?

Crazy theory that probably has been done but Ill throw it there because I haven't heard of it!

maybe reason original thing to get to 5th madamme was 15 15 10 10, was because that's the max you can spend on those floors, not 15 straight through. Anyone up for trying that?

Well it probably isn't 15 15 10 10 because when it was popped a few pages ago it was at the 51:30 mark which means they surpassed 15 15 10 10 on at least one floor. I still like the idea of per-floor time limits though, and am open to experimentation.

Killing 50 mamool that drop nothing to pop a lv35 NM that will probably have shit drop rate is...brutal.

Well, I'm sure people would do it if that is the condition

Just doesn't seem to make sense that 3rd floor has this condition and then 4th, 5th and 6th are related to time in some way.

Well 4th is already proven to be unrelated to killing any mobs.

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

If I were to use the D/C trick to enter Zhayolm with my friend's RDM char (He's been offline a while, and I've been doing his assaults so his AP are mine to spend ), what times per floor would you guys think I should test? Or should I zoom straight up, checking 4/5/6? (I think I can kill the rampart solo in under 10min, but not sure)

4F is the only floor with a lock on it right?

yea 4th is the only floor with a lock. not sure how you'd kill the rampart solo though. might be possible, but there's almost no kiting room because of the mamools. in the previous room.

was thinking about the 5th floor madame some more. i was thinking that on 4F that Mamool Ja Zenist in the room seems sort of special. It's the only Zenist in the room, and it has different drops than the other mamools. i asked the group that popped it if they killed any mamools on the 4th floor, and they said both times they popped it they killed the zenist, and the one time they did the exact same thing and they didn't pop it, they didn't kill the zenist. Just an idea.

Is that Zenist on the north or south side?

Lol yes I know the 4th is already proven. I just mean that we have the 3rd floor which is related to killing mobs, and the 4th which is time based, leaving 5th and 6th. If both of those were related to a time condition in some way then it seems unbalanced to me. 3 floors would have a time requirement and only 1 would involve killing mobs.

south, we never go north since we're trying to get the 4F frog to drop Lv. 35

Keep in mind that all the "NMs" on the first and second floors also require clearing out a wing (though they only drop cells)

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

So, frog on floor 3 is spawned by clearning the dirrection and killing the rampart. Frog on floor 4 is spawned by reaching it in a certain amount of time. I have read about the 50-52 min mark for floor 5 that some ppl have claimed to have it pop on. But since floor 3 and 4 have totaly different spawn conditions woudn't the 5th and 6th ones have different conditions that don't include what time you zone up? I have yet to see any exact evidence to them spawning on any time frame on any floor other then 4.

I know the 5th floor one spawn in the room with the ramparts, and i have mentioned becfore i thought it might have something to do with them. We have yet to find anything out about poping them, but I think most of us should focus our effort on that instead of the time one. If more then one floor had been 100% confirmed to pop the frog on certain time conditons i would be more interested in what time you zone up, But that just dosn't look like the case.

Any theory's on the ramparts? rare spawn on reimforcment? Kill them in a certain order? Kill comething on a floor below? Possibly kill a campart on floor 5 that is connected to which you kill on floor 4? I know the day has been mentioned before. I just don't see many ppl interested in talking about the ramparts or something connected to them as possible pop conditions.

The past 3 pages are filled with theories. There's probably over 10 different theories discussed over the past few pages.

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Killed the 4F Zenist tonight as well as 4F Madame, no pop on 5F. However, we spent 17m on first floor so still hard to say. Also confirmed that Rampart is based off of the day you enter Salvage. We entered on Windsday (Second Rampart) and ported up to 4F on Iceday (Third Rampart). We killed Second Rampart first and it was the correct one. No drop on 4F Madame again. We're about 0/7ish. Also killed both ramparts + manticores on 6F, widescanned both before and after opening the door, nothing. The first rampart died before even spawning a manticore so we thought maybe we could try to kill the second before it spawned a manticore too, to see if maybe that was the pop condition. Unfortunately the second one spawned manticore at like 5% so we got hosed on the idea. The chest from the manticore was great though, would almost say it was worth the kill just for all those items.

Has there been a single confirmed drop of a piece of 35 gear here? It's seeming kinda scary that we've worked out how to get to quite a few of these Frog NMs now, but that they don't seem to be dropping anything at all. I thought we'd havwe at least one success by now .

FFXIclopedia says the two 4th floor frogs drop their level 35 gear 100%. Is this not the case?

That would be the level 15 pieces, not 35.

The North one drops 3 pieces of Lv. 15 gear at 100%, and is not believed to drop any Lv. 35 gear at all. The south one does not drop anything at 100%, and is believed by some to drop Lv. 35 gear.
