    Aren't the one in mamool ja true sight? Would be a given that those are also true sight, since aggro type is respected in salvage.

    What's weird is that Hide doesn't usually work on sound-based mobs, but it definitely does against these Gents.

    /sigh the only zone that my salvage group has not entered once yet and no beautiful summary of known facts by aurik yet

    Time to wade through 35 pages before our run tonight^^

    going for a 4/4 on boss chariots tonight and so far we have beaten every mega on first try except for LBC took 2 tries ; ;

    This guy seems like a big poosay though from the sounds of it. ok time to read :D

    skeletons can be hid from too, as long as youre not in yellow hp.

    Hide is pretty much the most retardedly inconsistent job ability in the game and I really wish they would revamp it to be one smiple rule. Depending on weather conditions, you can hide from Bees and Ants too, and you can hide from Elementals always I think. It can be pretty surprising sometimes. I think the latest mantra about its mechanics is that it works on any non-scent-tracking mobs but I stopped caring about the specifics and just remember which mobs it works on now. x.x

    I'm pretty sure I saw a thief use hide on bone in kuftal tunnel a while ago. It worked when they didnt have hate on them.

    We are still new in this zone but we got wet last night and learned a little from experience now. Needless to say we wasted time in some places, took the wrong port on floor 1 (SW), mostly skipped floor 2 (had almost no armor for anyone), floor 3 cleared the 3 rooms west/south for hp/mp, 4FS madame was up, killed all mamool leading to rampart room =/, killed all ramparts, messed around with the frogs for a bit (did not kill the madame, killed like 3 gents), ported to floor 5 @ 51min mark, no, widescan so killed a million gear(s) leading to the big room, no madame, ported to 6, cleared the floor, left ramparts alone, went to boss (pretty much noone with any gear lol), had 11min and got him to 20%. Ok it was our first run ever in here and we really did not know too much of what to expect because of how confusing all the information is right now. Basically our goal was to see if we could pop 5FS madame and if she was not up try the boss. We definetly made mistakes on our way to the top to cost us the win so here is what I plan next time and please correct/help me with things I might be overlooking.

    1st floor
    Kill inner rooms main group. Ridill war and whm duo through extra magic rooms, while main group may try to get us a couple extra SJ's, take NE port (approx.15min)
    2nd floor
    Clear NE room for the possible armor drops in this room, port up (10min?)
    3rd floor
    West/South path clearing the 3 mamool rooms for HP/MP, Port up (15min?)
    4th Floor
    Sneak/Invis to the rampart room (is that possible?), kill the 4 ramparts, sneak invis back to the Gents, kill Gents for more equip, port up (15min?)
    5th Floor
    Train to the teleporter room to get off the floor, training gears that aggro (using hermes quencher if necessary), If Madame is up in big room everyone gathers in the tele room, and fight whatever aggro still is following OR die here, RR and get ready for madame since this is the main purpose of the run. If madame not up, first person to tele gets us off the floor. (3min.? If madame not up)
    6th Floor
    Clear floor (20min?)
    7th Floor
    20Min to kill boss/lot items




    Does this route seem reasonable for our next attempt?
    Any thoughts on better strategy for 5FS? Maybe just take a rng 100%?
    Also, Do Cards drop from gear(s) here as well or only ramparts?

    Sounds reasonable. RNG would be great, and cards drop from gears.

    theres a SS in a JP site from my LS mate

    she says the screenshot indicated that the party reached 5F in 82 mins and madame was up

    didnt describe what else they did though

    all 4 doors + 1 marid
    Has anyone not killed a marid and popped 5F South in the same run? Conversely, has anyone killed a marid and not popped 5F South in the same run? I wonder because we always sleep the marid and just go about our business with ramparts, but the 5F S never pops.

    I don't think time is an issue for this Madame...

    they also mentioned they reached 5F with less than 20 mins left

    hmmm is it possible SE will make an option for us to "NM or boss"?

    very unlikely from the fact that it have not happened for other zones (unless i miss out something)

    otherwise 20 mins left to reach 5F to pop a NM is kinda tight to kill the boss altogether

    well only zone i think of "NM or boss" is bhaflau's ramparts if u wanna try 1234F 100% ramparts + Boss, those time consuming doors >.>

    Divisortheory popped 5F S and his group was only 51 minutes into the run (page 29 of this thread). This JP group popped 5F S 82 minutes into the run, a whole 31 minutes later than Divisor's.

    I truly believe that pop conditions for various NMs are ... Various.

    We have:

    - Kill Mad Bomber before it explodes
    - Kill 4 Flans in "Spiky-Head" mode
    - YY-style Gears death
    - 60 seconds ownage on 10 gears
    - Then pray for all things wholy that you might get a glimpse of some NM

    And:

    - Kill 6 Fomors
    - Kill an Imp
    - Kill 16 Fomors
    - Kill 8 Gear(s)
    - Kill 4 Gears
    - Kill 4 Ramparts, and wait 1 minute ...

    And then we have:

    - Open a door
    - ...It's just there
    - ...It's just there
    - ...It's just there
    - ...It's just there
    - Open a door

    And for Zhayolm?

    - Clear a whole wing
    - Port up by 30 minutes
    - Spawn and kill a Marid?
    - ...?
    - Profit!

    Well, I think we can probably rule out ANYTHING having to do with time for 5F South.
