Did you kill simultaneously or mess with the ramparts afterward?
Did you kill simultaneously or mess with the ramparts afterward?
No and no. It's hard to kill simultaneously because you can't sleep them and they use Restoral. We tried to, but after one used restoral while bound we just said fuck it. Would have done ramparts, but wanted to get to boss asap to test if 5th floor chariot weakened it.Originally Posted by Mofro

North: Port up to 5F after killing 57 mobs. Kill 8 mobs on 5F, widescanning after each mob.
South: Port up to 5F after killing N mamools, where N is a multiple of 5. Preferably 30 if possible, but 30 will make it really hard to get to 4F in time for 4F Madame, if you're interested in that. 20 should be do-able pretty easily if you're also interested in 4F Mamool.
In either case, kill the chariot on 5F to try for a drop. Be careful of pulling the 5F chariot. it attracts all the gears in the final room right before it, so you MUST clear the room before fighting the chariot.
Edit: Something interesting that just occurred to me. In the case of the 5F N group, the chariot popped at 60 mobs and the ramparts popped at 65 (or maybe the other way around). both multiples of 5. In the case of the JP group that popped 5F S Madame, the # of Mamool killed was a multiple of 5. 5th floor = 5. I could just be looking too hard for connections where connections don't exist, but the 5 thing could be interesting >.>
1 kill = normal monster, bst's pet, drg's wyvern, NM and rampart? Well, doing 57-63 shoud make up for the ramparT/NM, but there is like 12 pets on floor 3.
What's the best way to pull those 5th floor N room to avoid mass linking? I had bad experience with those in the past. >_>
Since people are asking about Ying/Yang kills on the 6th floor, we did a run a few weeks back trying a variety of things, one of which was killing the two single gears on the 6th floor simultaneously. No madame popped when they died, however we hadn't cleared the entire floor nor opened the door (obviously). We killed both Ramparts + both manticores (not simultaneously), all the 3-gear, the two 1-gear simultaneously, and then timed out fighting the chariot, if I'm remembering correctly.
I know I'm kinda dwelling on my ideas but I want to know: What order did you do those things? Did you kill the single-gears first? Before or after the ramparts? Do you remember?Originally Posted by Suiram

Nivlakian clocked the times, but they don't seem to matter:
12:57 start
1:19:47 2nd floor port
1:46:22 3rd floor port
2:02:35 4th floor port
2:21:51 5th floor port
wow nice! hopefully more people are able to recreate this scenario D: then maybe the mystery of the drops can be solved ;x
It was super exciting to see it spawn but I only wish we had a drop of some kind.Hopefully we can do another run sometime soon and really pinpoint the exact pop conditions and streamline the process. That list was fairly time consuming and we finished with about 5 minutes to spare which was fine but chariot and madame in the same run would be awesome. Madame herself took about five minutes to kill with our setup (NIN MNK THF RDM BRD BLM).

I compared the 3 runs that popped the 5F S Poroggo Madame (Suiram's doesn't count because their's is exactly the same as run #1), and came up with these numbers:
1F
Not including Mamool Ja:
Run 1 (29), Run 2 (?), Run 3 (?)
Including Mamool Ja:
Run 1 (30), Run 2 (?), Run 3 (?)
2F
Not including Mamool Ja:
Run 1 (24), Run 2 (12), Run 3 (20)
Including Mamool Ja:
Run 1 (25), Run 2 (13), Run 3 (21)
Including Card NM, Run 1 (26)
3F
Mamool Ja:
Run 1 (24), Run 2 (12), Run 3 (24)
Including pets:
Run 1 (38), Run 2 (20), Run 3 (38)
Including Rampart:
Run 1 (39), Run 2 (20), Run 3 (39)
4F
Poroggo:
Run 1 (8), Run 2 (2), Run 3 (8)
Mamool Ja:
Run 1 (4), Run 2 (0), Run 3 (0)
Mamool Ja pets:
Run 1 (2), Run 2 (0), Run 3 (0)
Ramparts:
Run 1 (4), Run 2 (1), Run 3 (1)
Marid Reinforcements:
Run 1 (1), Run 2 (1), Run 3 (0 or 1) <- Did Run 3 kill a Marid?
I didn't add anything up for the 4th floor because it could be any combination of things to be significant, since they were all very differnet on 4F.
One thing I notice about all these numbers is that all the counts of 2F, 3F, and 4F have an even number kills if you include only the "main mobs of that floor". I'm not sure how to explain 1F on the run that recorded that, but perhaps either 1F just doesn't matter, or Mamools are actually considered for that count.
"main mobs" by my interpretation would be all mobs on 1F, Wyverns and Lizards on 2F, Mamool Ja (not including pets?) on 3F, and Poroggos on 4F.
I wanna say that the multiples of 4 on 2F and 3F matter, but that can't be carried over to 4F for all 3 runs without it screwing up the balance.
To test this, what I'd try if I could would be to kill exactly what Suiram's group did on 1F to be safe, and then kill an entire room on 2F, plus 4 mobs from any room (preferably the same room?), followed by 12 mobs and their pets on 3F, and then 8 Poroggo on 4F (sure, one run killed 2 Poroggo, but can't change too many variables in one run right?). It would be like recreating runs #1 and #2, and doable with less people since there are less mobs to kill.
It would be interesting to see if 5F S Madame could be popped simply by killing 2 mobs on each floor, like 2 Puks, 2 Lizards, 2 Mamool Ja, and 2 Poroggo. Would make it super easy to pop for a small group.
Brain starting to cry because I suck at getting thoughts out! But I tried. Someone go test.![]()
I'd guess pets aren't counted. Unless my math is off, the number of mobs killed on all floors, not counting the pets is 100 on that run. Which fits the whole "multiples 5" deal. Which, actually makes sense.
I'll try to convince my group to do Zhayolm today and try it out.

Who normally kills 100+ mobs before porting up to the 5th floor south having the knowledge that an NM pops in that rampart room?
so seriously i am confused....
does BST Pet and WYverns count as 1 mob?
kk read past post
got a general picture
so if we follow the EXACT kill from the JP site, madame will pop right?
i go work from the magic formula
the 30 mamool thing seem tempting to try
Here's what we should try to do.
1) Reproduce the run EXACTLY 1 more time.
2) If it pops again, then reproduce the run EXACTLY a third time, but killing 1 less mamool than before.
3) If that does not pop, reproduce the run exactly a fourth time, but killing 1 more mamool than the correct one.
4) If it still doesn't pop it, reproduce the run exactly a fifth time, but killing 5 more (or less) mamool than the correct run.
I might be able to schedule a run to knock out whatever hasn't been tried, but not sure yet, it wouldn't be until much later.
This doesn't explain how opening the door on the Fifth floor made the madame pop though.
Where was that mentioned? And what group did that?Originally Posted by Aemora
Wizerd, where did you find the data for all 3 of those groups.
i am leaning towards either
Mamool
or
Number of mobs
i read about people killing 60th mob and popped a chariot
and then killed 65th? mob and popped ramparts
killing more may pop the madame?
prob one SE trick to give clues about "hey u kill some number, u get a pop, wanna try more?"
anyway the JPs killed 114 mob havent they?
I had this crazy idea for 6F pop conditions:
1F:
On the wing you're going to teleport on, kill the Mamool Ja, but don't open its chest, and spawn the Poroggo, but don't engage/kill it. (I'm mostly thinking the latter)
2F:
In the room you teleported to, spawn the Mamool Ja, but don't engage/kill it it.
3F:
Spawn a madame, but don't engage/kill it it?
4F:
? Spawn a marid from the right rampart, but don't kill it it?
5F:
If you indeed spawn the chariot and some ramparts, spawn them but don't aggro/kill it them?
6F:
You get the idea. The same just with the single gears.
I'm also thinking the opposite of this: Kill all of the above mentioned, although I'm thinking 1F Mamool has nothing to do with it.
EDIT: By engage I mean aggro.
