Is my count correct that you killed 21 Mamool on that run Suiram?![]()

In the 114 mob run? Was 1 on the first floor, 1 on the 2nd floor, the 12 in the 3 inner rooms on the 3rd floor west/south path, the 12 in the big room in the south, and 4 on the 4th floor, so 30. Unless I misunderstood your question.
The one you just posted on the previous page.Originally Posted by Suiram

Just tossing out more theories, but there was one interesting one posted to the JP forums, that perhaps the number of Mamools you kill determines the window that you need to zone up in to get the pop. It then lists a table, which is not really relevant I don't think since it's wild guessing. However, I went back and looked over Suiram's run where he repro'ed the JPs and his times were:
First floor: 22:47
Second floor: 26:35
Third floor: 16:23
Fourth floor: 19:16
Total Time spent when porting up to fifth floor: 85:01
compared to the JPs 82 minutes.
A theory such as this would explain why sometimes the 4F S Mamool is up after 45 minutes and not up after 45 minutes other times.
I suggested that possibility like 3 pages ago and was dismissed as over-complicating matters.![]()
Oh, must have missed it. Well anyway just tossing it out there to have a record, if something simpler doesn't pan out we can go back to it :D I'm going twice tonight. The first time I will try to reproduce the 114 mob run exactly, the second time I will try to drop the mamool count by exactly 5.Originally Posted by Suiram
It's really nice that your group agrees to try different theories in Zhayolm... mine just want to do the damn boss fight and get the cards.
I have some people who wanna try Zhayolm too. Unfortunately, with 3-5 people it's hard to kill 100 mobs in time lol.Originally Posted by alphacat
We just popped it using the 114 JP run. will post later about drops
Will post later about drops? You'd better at least say what dropped now asshat. :O (jk about asshat but tell ussss)Originally Posted by divisortheory

POST NOW ABOUT DROPS
Well for starters we haven't even killed it, lol. When I said we just popped I meant we JUST popped it >.>Originally Posted by Wizerd

That's why Perfect Dodge/Invincible is win in Zhayolm. <_<Originally Posted by divisortheory
No drop, but we're definitely getting close to the true condition :D
Popping it 3 times with the same run exclude the possibilities of a coincidence and/or lucky pop. Can start eliminating some mamool/frog/1st floor monster to see if it still pop and eliminate the useless thing
I'm about to do it again. This time I'm going to skip all the extra shit on first floor and second floor that we killed, and also exclude the card NM. However, if it does not pop that could mean one of three things: A) that the arrival time was important, B) that we killed a mob the first time that we didn't kill the second time which was the key, or C) the trigger is still a random mob (or random mamool), and we didn't kill it. Anyway SS coming in a little while, they're nothing special but at least it offers confirmation instead of just myw ord.
I don't think that B is verly likely (i.e. that there is a specific mob in the zone and the same mob is always the trigger every time). A and C are both distinct possibilities though. With A, for example, has anyone ever actually tested simply spending the exact same amount of time on every floor? That was a side effect of today's run where we popped it, our times were 21, 21, 19, 20. Not precisely exactly the same, but very close. With B, if the condition is a random Mamool, then we could rationalize the results by saying that we've been killing lots of Mamool, but definitely not every single one possible. Therefore we've probably just been getting lucky, but the 6 Mamool we aren't killing (3 1F, 3 2F) also have a chance to be the trigger. One thing is for sure though, it does seem that whatever I'm doing significantly increases the pop rate, possibly making it 100%.
Just zoned up to 5F, the Madame is not up this time. Here's what we did differently:
A) Killed fewer mobs (same # mamool) on first floor.
B) Killed fewer mobs (same # mamool) on second floor. Also didn't kill card NM
C) Spent less time on each floor. On the successful run it was 20:30 on each floor, this time it was 17 on each floor.
D) Did not kill any marids on 4th floor (3 popped, 0 killed. successful was 1 pop, 1 killed)
Would be nice if a few more people can independently verify existance with the 114 run. Make sure even the times you zone up are pretty similar.
If a single person fails to repro it with the 114 mob run, my money is on a random trigger mob popping it.
Can I ask you what mob you skipped in your last run on floor 1 and 2 if it was noted? I would like to compare it with the original run
Requoted Divisor's post to not have to dig the post every time
The problem I see with random trigger is that we killed more mobs on floor #1,2,3 a couple of time recently. If it was a particular mobs, madame should have been up more often than not, but it never popped. The only part we were skipping was the 4th floor porogo, and SE lizard.Originally Posted by Some JP Group
Also, was the 20:30 tested before? I remember reading it was, but I'm not certain. Would be easy to test solo..if rampart can be soloed.
