It seems to me like they also ninja'ed the 4th floor Madame and nobody noticed. For the first like 3-4 months Salvage was out, did anyone ever see the 4th floor south Madame? There was still some discussion about if it even existed. Then all of a sudden bing! and it starts popping every single time.
SE prob dont want anyone to complete armor yet
i bet the 6F arrapago TH are newly ninja-ed in
Uh, for the first few months of salvage there was practically no interest in it. And the few people who did it seemed to prefer Bhaflau for all those super awesome lvl 15 drops.
I bet they never ninja'ed anything, that there isn't anything special about now versus four months ago except that people figured out what to do, and that it's only a matter of time before the rest of the stuff is figured out; when it is, the people wasting 1500 AP now to try to help figure it out will say "I told you so" while the people who only espouse convoluted theory and don't even test them half the time or who say "it probably doesn't even exist" will say "oh yeah? I bet they ninja'd it in." That's my bet. :D
Bumping this because it's bullshit. The first door is closed until you open it or kill the mamool. Going to go back to my earlier suggestion that perhaps aurik's group opened it manually whereas we let it open automatically, which is why opening the door on the 5th floor was required to pop madame when we copied their run. Also, slime reinforcements on 5S drop slime oil which is kinda weird. Maybe that's what SE meant by adding other drops to salvage? lolOriginally Posted by divisortheory
To be honest I've never noticed any doors automatically opened. Is this regarding the 2nd floor of Zhayolm? I swear we had to open it manually after we killed the Mamool but I dunno for sure.Originally Posted by Suiram
You may be right, and that was the original question a few pages back. Definitely when you kill the Mamool, the doors to the other 3 rooms open, but the question was whether the door to the room you ported up in opens. My suggestion had been that if it does open automatically, then we almost certainly didn't open it on that particular run, and that if aurik's group did open it on their original run #11, then the fact that our Madame didn't pop until we opened door on 5th south suggests a "total doors opened" component to the pop condition. However, all discussion along those lines was halted when divisortheory responded (wrongly) that it was always open, which annoyed me last night when we ported up and I discovered it was in fact closed. I probably should have waited until mamool died to see if it opened automatically and thereby answer my own question, but I wasn't thinking at the time.Originally Posted by Wizerd
Interesting... any idea then how many doors we are looking at to open manually to pop 5th floor madame? or how many are there on each floor total that can be possibly opened?
On the first floor you must manually open 2 doors. You might be able to open a max of 5, but I think it's like Arrapago in that once you open a door on one of the 4 outer rooms, the other ones become locked. On the second floor you must manually open 0, you can manually open 1 door, and 3 can be opened automatically. On the 3rd floor you must manually open 1, and the other one might be able to be opened manually as well but again, I doubt it. On the 4th floor you must manually open 1, and there are no other doors.Originally Posted by LordBane
Adding that all up, it seems there are the following combinations of door openings possible upon arriving at the 5th floor:
4 manually opened, 4 automatically opened, 4 not opened
5 manually opened, 3 automatically opened, 4 not opened
5 manually opened, 0 automatically opened, 7 not opened
In all cases that I know of where it has been popped, 1 Mamool was killed on 2F meaning that at least 3 doors were automatically opened, meaning that it was one of the first two. The first one is what most people do practically every time.
If more than 1 outer door on 1F, or both doors on 3F can be opened, the numbers will change a little.
Well, my suggestion was more that if anything, it's only a component to the pop condition. Every different combination of doors is opened on such a variety of runs that doors in themselves couldn't be the condition, however, killing some or all of the enemies that our group and aurik's group killed on those runs, combined with manually opening 5 doors, could be the trigger. What I would like to do, and will hopefully do in the next week or so if nobody else does, is try to repeat that run without opening 2nd floor NE door, to see if it opens automatically, then verify if madame pops again when opening 5th floor portal door. If so, repeat the run again, this time manually opening the door on 2nd floor NE, to see if madame is already popped when porting to 5th floor.
For the 5th floor chariot, to the gears in the previous room instantly aggro? Or do they aggro over time?
We went North today, killed chariot, and the last gear didn't link until the chariot was at like 70% so it might have been aggroed, not sure. Wondering if the "Defense System" is South-Only.
Anyway, no drop on the chariot if anyone is keeping track or anything =/
They link slowly. You'll be fighting the chariot, then all of a sudden a gear starts slowly wandering in your direction until it gets right on top and starts attacking you. I never timed it, but they basically move at gravity speed or less when they're in the defense mode.Originally Posted by Julian
Quote from 3 pages ago. I guess it's just random. On our 1st attempt it only used Discoid at around 70% hp, 1st time. However, on 2nd attempt, It used right at 99% off the bat, it was his first move aside from a few melee hits, people were still doing the line-up for positioning, we were not ready yet and our tank got a big 1,100 dmg in the face; and... at 90% it used again while we were recovering (we tought of a full wipe and restart but no time) and it finished us up with another Discoid at 85%. Sigh... Sad run, sad run...Originally Posted by divisortheory

Luckily just about any job can tank this so we held it with a sam lol untill the mnks were ready again. Timed out though due to the loss of time and a SHIT TON of discoid spamming.
Same thing happened to us last run, discoid went before anyone can get into position. I think the safest thing to do is to have tanks not engage until ppl are all in position.
got to 4th floor today in like 35 minutes, no Madame anywhere.
south or north?
