I didn't post that question, but it's good to know at least. >.>Originally Posted by OctavoGilgamesh
Also, thank you for the answers. Finally, a somewhat off topic question, since this battle seems as if it would be rather rough with our current setup, would any others be easier? Some of us do have experience with Chariots, but the experience is mostly limited to a non-gimped LBC.
I don't see how it would be hard with 6 people. Shell V cuts it down to 3300 / 6 = 550, everyone should be able to survive that. If you're worried, you can have people wear Merman's Rings or whatever to cut it down even more. After a Discoid goes off, disengage and cure HP until everyone is white, then keep fighting.Originally Posted by Lujei
Be brave! Force your 3-4 healers to make Curaga II macros with the tank's name in them, and mash that every time they see the word Discoid. It's really the easiest chariot, just position your people correctly and /slap anyone except the bard who moves.Originally Posted by Lujei
Could also stop a couple discoids through stun.
o nvm misread lol.Originally Posted by OctavoGilgamesh
Also not everyone needs HP cells for this fight. When we take it with 6, we usually go RDM RDM, or RDM WHM, those people dont need HP cells so long as they get pileus for stoneskin.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Tried a run at this one tonight, lost alot of time at the 3rd floor though, we went west, ended up with like 4 HP cells and 2 or 3 MP cells by the time the first 3 small rooms were done. We had 10 people and to be safe was trying to get everyone HP cell. Lost a good 10 minutes trying to clear the south room and killing the Madame for 5 HP and 5 MP cells. Commonly do most groups just hit up the first 3 rooms and deal with what they have gotten? I'd just be worried about people getting one shotted by Discoid mainly if they were lacking HP cell. Setup tonight was BLM BLM RDM RDM WHM WHM BRD MNK x 3.
Can the Mamools on 4S drop HP/MP also? Going to reattempt this boss soon and looking for a little more insight on it.
Only got to fight the boss for like 3-5 minutes and took it to 70% very quickly. The path we took was basically just kill a Puk or 2, get last weapon for MNK, then cleared Ziz wing to get everyone magic, followed by a few JA for Convert for RDM and Ability for MNK, and farm the Bugards to get everyone a Sub Job, had WHM wait in NE porter, ported up when done. We then cleared NE wing + the Mamool Ja that popped and ported up. 3rd floor was where we lost most of our time, ended up killing all the mamool+poroggo madame to get everyone HP cells =/. 4th floor was quick, just killed the correct rampart, ran through 5F and ported up, 6F we started killing gears and chariot in like 15-20 minutes. Got 10 minute warning while finishing up the chariot.
I guess to clear up some more time we should just kill all mamool ja in the first 3 rooms on 3S and just deal with what we've gotten? >.> possibly kill 4F room too. I don't remember exact, but I believe got like 4 HP 2 MP after clearing the 3 rooms of 4 mamool each. Is that normal or just exceptionally bad luck with HP/MP drops?
Sorry to break it to you, but 4th floor Zenist always drops 3 HP lol You were probably good once you got your MP cells (counting the 3 from the next floor).
To be more specific, 4FS mamools drop 3 of each stat + 3 hp. 4FN mamools drop 1 of each stat + 1 hp. The 2 mimickers don't drop anything on the north side.
I have a couple of questions if anyone could help I really appreciate it:
Q1: Is there a possibility for a 3FN Poroggo Madame + BCC successfull run (having atleast good number of geared people and enough HP/MP cells for BCC)?
Edit: Do you have to kill all mamools in the 3 square rooms + the big rectangular room + rampart inorder to pop Madame? or just the big room 20 mamools + rampart?
Q2: For a Lv15 F4N equipment Poroggo Madame NM run, how much time do you spend on F1 and F2 total, since the pop conditions for this NM is reaching F4 in under 30mins ?
Ah, thanks, wasn't sure if they dropped nothing or same as other mamool. All 4FS drop 3 HP 100% of the time?Originally Posted by aurik
No, he's saying when you kill the 4 mamool on that floor, you will end up with 3 more of each stat + 3 more HP than you had when you initially ported up.Originally Posted by Seditedi
Ok, thanks for the clarification.
Hello guys. See how there is 58 pages worth of Info here. lol I don't have the time to read all posts. I just have a simple question. Is there any confirm on the level 35 drops from 4th floor Froggie with regards to any peices. Morrigans, Skadi's and Such?

Fishing for more information about 4FN, do the mamools repop each time you take the incorrect rampart? I've taken the 4N + BCC path before and farmed 2 sets of mamools on 4FN, but I'm really not sure if we got lucky and warped to version 2, or got version 1 and repops happened. Either way, HP cells are maddeningly scarce along this route.Originally Posted by aurik
Yes. Every mob repops when you return to the 4th floor.Originally Posted by mackerel
That isn't always true, but I can't be sure about what the conditions are for mobs not to repop.Originally Posted by Almalexia
Well, let me put it more accurately:
All mobs on the floor are replaced.
For the sake of farming Mamools: in my experience, all the Mamools reappear every time you take the incorrect rampart.
