This is pretty crazy that this madame thing is still not solved, our group has no luck with it either. Seems that alot of people gonna be 2/3 on morrigan feet before its figured out.. So noone has confirmed getting this drop from Zha? Btw this thread really needs a #2.
No thread 2 until stuff is figured out.Originally Posted by Ruin

No one on this thread has gotten a Madame to drop any 35s yet correct? lol Wondering if killing a Madame allows the Archaic Chariot that is assisted by gears to actually drop a corresponding 35 <_< lol, sounds a little out there, but who knows.
It is indeed time for a new thread, just so we can consolidate current information into the OP. We shouldn't have questions like this anymore. ('ACOriginally Posted by Seditedi
Agreed.
And the new thread should include information on the successful runs that poped the madame, what to do to replicate it, what what to test to help us figure out the mystery.
Yeah, only one I've had experience with is 4FS, hard to scan through 59 pages of this thread and find what you are looking for lol.
Need more information on the OP so it's easier to read+see what has been tested/what hasn't etc.
on the OP of thread 1.5 we should probably include that large list of recorded 5th floor madame attempts, and perhaps the diagrams of the successful 114 mob / aurik number 11 runs.
Sorry for the noob question, but what peices of armor are impossible to complete due to the phantom 35 Zhayolm drops?
edit: have a fairly new salvage group, so won't be trying to get those anytime soon.
Ares Feet
Morrigan Feet
Marduk Head
Marduk Body
Skadi Legs
Usukane Hands
EDIT: These would be Bhaflau 15 and Arrapago 25 (boss).
Ok, Thanks a ton! :DOriginally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
It would be interesting if someone repeated the 114 run and didn't kill the slot NM, but killed an extra mob somewhere else.
I'm beginning to think that the only factor in popping the Madame is the NMs killed along the way, and nothing else. It doesn't explain popping after opening the door on 5F, but nothing explains that anyway so I'm just going go ignore it. SE even said "The number of defeated NMs in Zhayolm Remnants was not counted correctly", that alone tells me that number it is necessarily important.Originally Posted by Helm
Here's some successful pops
Suiram, myself, and JP 114 mob run
1F - 1 Mamool (1 NM)
2F - 1 mamool, 1 Slot (2 NMs)
3F - 0 NMs killed
4F - 0 NMs
Mhmmimafreak
1F - 0 Mamools
2F - 1 Mamool
3F - 0 NMs popped or killed
4F - 0 NMs
Aurik #11
1F - 0 Mamools
2F - 1 Mamool
3F - North Madame killed (1 NM)
4F - 0 NMs
in Freak's run, 1 NM was killed. In the 114 run, 3 NMs were killed. In Aurik's run, 2 NMs were killed. So for a while I was starting to think there was no connection. But then I remembered that Aurik's was on the north side, and north side is "different" than south side. This brings me back to what I've suspected all along, that there is a point system. Different NMs are worth different numbers of points. But the question becomes "What is an NM?" Here's some possible definitions:
1) Anything with much more HP than similar mobs in the zone (1F Mamools, 2F Mamools, all Madames, Marids)
2) Anything that needs to be popped (1F Gents, 2F Mamools, all madames, slot)
3) Anything that drops a chest (1F Gents, 1F Mamools, 2F Mamools, all Madames)
etc.
Also note that Proboscis Shower is an NM only Marid move, and the ones in Zhayolm Remnants use it.
I really think NMs are the key though, and I'm curious to try reproducing the 114 mob run using a completely different set of enemies killed, as long as the NMs killed are exactly the same. I might try this tomorrow.
Well, Slott's group reproduced my run, but killed the N. mamools and madame on the 3rd floor in addition to everything else. Also, Slott's group didn't get it to pop, yet killed the same madame and mamool that Aurik's group had on their successful run.Originally Posted by divisortheory
My group only killed the 1 mamool on the 2nd floor as far as 'NMs' under this listing goes, which I think a lot of other people have done without getting it to pop. I think it is coming down to purely a kill X, Y, Z number of mobs total, or kill X, Y, Z number of mobs on each floor, or a particular floor.
In that case the quote from SE is completely meaningless. On top of that:Originally Posted by Helm
a) It has been popped clearing a total of about 60ish mobs, and it has been popped killing a total of 114 mobs.
b) It has been popped when clearing only a few mobs on each floor, and it has not popped when entire floors were cleared completely.
Personally I just think it's time to start taking the hint that SE gave us and investigate the NMs.
Again, "notorious monster" could apply to every monsters since they all ctrl+c as Notorious monster. We killed a lot more run at time than other succesful run, but less than the 114 run and it did'nt pop. If there is a point system, I've no clue how it works, unless it require something like an even number.
It "could", but it's highly unlikely IMO. My current theory is that it's a point system based strictly on NMs (or "special mobs" if you prefer that). I'm going to start doing a few tests in this regard whenever I do Zhayolm from now on.Originally Posted by Kaylia
I'm going to guess "notorious monster" means anything that is bigger than others of its kind, which basically means tougher. Madames (and Jakko) are taller than others of their type, right? If not, well, so far only NMs have the "madame" model.
