If all you want to do is bosses:
-Clear inner 4 rooms of 1f, then farm wings to get any extra crucial cells (such as magic for mages, abilities, etc)
    -Port up NW
    -Clear NW room
-Clear the left side of each other room (2 drops) and the group-of-2 (1 drop) for 6 of each armor
    -Port up to 3f
-Clear the first 3 south rooms of floor 3 for HP and stats. Port up to 4f
-Kill rampart corresponding to day. Port up to 5f
-Send 2-3 people to run through the floor. Port up to 6f
-Have someone useless pull the chariot and die while everyone else hides in a side hall
    -Clear all the triple gears
-Clear the 2 single gears. Chariot does not link.
    -Clear the chariot.
-If you have above 20 min, pull a rampart, hope it summons a manticore. Manticore has a chest full of awesome drinks (Fana, revit, bodyboost, manaboost, etc).
    -Port up to 7f

Since you own bosses, it should be no problem; Zhayolm is one of the easiest bosses.
I'd do NE room on 2F first, so port up NE from 1F (I have a feeling you meant NE, but never know).

Also, on 6F what we usually do now is have our THF pull the chariot with a ranged attack. Usually, nothing will link, but sometimes one of the triple gears. If it does, he is often able to kite around the perimiter until the chariot is dead. Chariot first is nice MP/ability-wise.

just wondering what size group u guys bring to do this? the usual 8, or a few random DDs thrown in, and any notes about the boss, would rather a first time kill, preferably to alleviate that 4400 needles technique, we were thinking something along the lines of keeping magies in AoE with SS up to lessen dmg to tanks or something, but if u have any ideas, would be appreciated, pls and ty :D

Yeah, you got the idea.. everyone stays in AoE range and its really easy.
I just have DDs stand directly in front of BCC and then everyone moves in together at same time, I prefer to have melee wait to actually engage until everyone is in position just in case first TP move is Discoid before you're all set up... never seen it happen but it can happen, mages usually around 8' on distance plugin from DDs (remember Discoid is centered around a target, not the chariot). If anyone moves besides the BRD.. slap em, thats all there really is to it. Very boring fight. With Shell V lvl3 and 9-10 ppl it'll probably hit around 300ish dmg per person. I don't remember exact numbers but last one we fought I was WHM pretty much naked so stoneskin was definitely not capped to 350 HP and Discoid was only hitting me for about 150ish through skin with like 10 people. As long as you have enough time and your positioning is correct, theres pretty much no way you can lose this fight.

Have your mages stand diagonally to the front of BCC, so Diffusion Ray doesn't hit them either. Just make sure the mages are over 10' from the chariot and under 10' from the melees and you're good.

It's a lie, there are no rings there!

Or at least, there weren't for us last night, when we went to pop 5fN Madame.

    Not a single ring cell.

Every time I've killed the associating Mamool Ja, its droped all of its cells (2 ring, 2 back/waist, 2 ranged, 1 body)

Tried this zone with and without TH.......
without TH not a single ranged/body cell from the entire NE room including the Mamool Ja..
with TH usually everything drops body/2ranged and the 2 100% cells when we go. Zhayolm really sucks on cell drops when you don't have a TH with you imo.

Why did you stop reading? In some zones TH is very important, like Arrapago, in some it makes next to no difference at all for cells, like Silver Seas. Zhayolm is something of a mix between the two, with most of the cells like weapon, JA, SJ, magic, all stats and about half the armor cells having nothing at all to do with TH, while other cells like MP, some HP, ranged, body, rings are highly dependent upon it, and all he was doing was giving his account of what happened so that someone who might think it makes no difference will know for themselves in the future.

It's funny how with TH you are usually raining in the non-guaranteed cells and without they are very hard to come by.. at least in my experiences.

We almost always have TH4 with us, but last night we did Arra without a thf due to various circumstances. The result? 1 magic drop total on the first floor (killed 8 lamia capable of dropping) . All 4 Qiqirns dropped us nothing at all. Only 1 of the 6 gears on 4F dropped SJ, which made Bhoot a challenge with only a single shadowed tank.

We did, however, get Hikazu Hakama, against all odds.

Yeah... with my group I usually won't even bother entering arrapago without some TH. Drops are horrid there sometimes even with a THF. ;x

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

Im sure its posted here somewhere (but this thread is huge now, so finding the relevant stuff isnt easy XD).

I wanted some advice, on pulling the 4fn NM. Ive only ever been on one run where we popped it and our attempts at pulling were messy. I didnt go along on their more sucessful run, so didnt get to witness the pull first hand.

From what i have been told, they have the thf run north from where you enter, aggro the nm, and run south back towards the portal. Once the mobs followed him to the portal, a voker pulled the nm away from the pack, at which point the thf ran back up north, taking all the nq frogs back to the room they started in, and then popped hide.

Is this the best way of doing it? or are there easier ways? Could i as blm for example, go up and do a elemental seal sleepga centred on the nm, then have a thf wake the nm and pull back to camp, with me doing a /logout to loose nq frog aggro. Would a log out even be needed? i seem to remember reading they loose aggro easy, could i sneak/invis/deodorise, and run off once there slept?.

The only other option i can think of is pulling + killing the nqs.

    Our probable setup would be
    Mnk/war(?), drk/thf, thf/nin, thf/nin, sam/war, blm/rdm, rdm/whm.

Most of the group are still new to salvage (maybe 7-8 runs old), so not sure exactly what we will have unlocked as ill be rushing them more than usual.

Also do the mamool on 4fn drop stats/hp/mp like the ones on 3fsw?

    Thanks in advance :D

I'm wondering what most people tend to do on runs where you need to pop 4FN; in other words, what else do you go for? I'm thinking we could (maybe) go for the boss, and farm/reset the 4th floor until we get enough HP? We will probably have about 7 people and an avatar.

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

my plan for my group, is to do some card farming once the 4fn nm is down, but if you can get the hp/mp/stat cells you need on floor 4, i can see the boss being another viable option

    Re: Salvage: Zhayolm Remnants

I just wanted to give a update to those that help me (You know who you are). Thank you very much for all your help. We went on our Sat normal runs, Round 1 was SSR and we got our 2nd Macha Slop off of PK (stingy prick) and on our 2nd run THE FROG FINALLY FELL BABY WOOT!!!!! About !@#$ time. So the score is Madame 5 - Luxuria 1. We will even it out soon. Gotta continue our quest to get 12 complete sets 8) will just take time.

    Thanks Again

    Eypon

Unelss you're going for the boss, which is 2 25's guaranteed...I see no reason to go without a thief. Even if they are atrocious drop rates to begin with, if it seeminly bumps it from 2% to 3%, thats still better.

Because lv35s were available to us since Salvage release right? They weren't just discovered recently or anything. I mean, it's not like someone could have done the zone without TH before there was anything to even gain from the zone! That would be ridiculous.
