cant be, it has to be calculated by current hp otherwise it would kill people.
Oh yeah.. and I just made a post about %s of max HP.

Though still, even if it was a % of your current HP minus the +HP from your gear, it would still always be less than your current HP. But I strongly doubt that sort of calculation exists anywhere.

We just always kill the summons as fast as we can, to the point were there's often 0 up. That time 3 NMs popped was nice, got two drops. :D
fyi rampart dont lose HP until a summon is summoned

meaning, it loses 1% hp per summon

    not bullshitting, tried and tested

but we also tried killing summon asap with a good setup

for example lv 1 rampart, chigoes never gets more than 2, usually only 1 up

usually we waiting it to pop

    but guess what

0/100 rampart for lv 1 for the number of times we tried it with above zzzzzzzzzz (only tried lv 1 rampart 3 times so far)

we do have a gate widow to pop when we tried 5 chigoes and kill them almost together. hmmmmmm i dunno but it has begin to make me think its completely random now zzzzzzzz

we got bumfucked majorly today, no vit or hp cells, but plenty of feet and mnd! lulz.

Anyway, we got 2 widows to spawn, but we got nothing from either of them. Big waste of time.

They won't start losing HP until you engage them, but once you do, they lose HP based on time. My group held five summons for a while and watched the rampart lose HP without summoning anything, and of course no DoTs on it. That's at least what Sykes said, he was watching the HP of the rampart. I busy was voking bees and running around like an idiot.

thats because there can only be a max of 5 mobs up at a time (though its possible there can be 6 if the NM pops).

Perhaps next time someone does this and gets a NM, they can hold 4 chigoes and see if a 6th spawns. Though if its lotto pop, holding em wouldnt do anything >.>

It's been suggested that holding 4 summons means the next has a 50% chance of being the HQ. My group saw 5 Gate Widow pop from one rampart, when we had low numbers and it was difficult to keep up with spawns. Might be worth testing. :)

omg so u didnt do anything special and popped 2 widows?

man, so this is really luck based LOL

and that sucks for 0/2 widow drops

that further adds on to the randomness -_-

    sigh

i wonder when i will ever see my first bee NM

    0/400 currently

hope it gets better as my LS kinda focusing on ramparts since we know how to 100% pop the 2nd lv rampart when we do bhaf cos we dont have decent setup for LBC ^^

I can confirm that the Rampart losing HP is a time-based thing once it is aggro'd ... the rate at which it loses HP has no direct correlation to the rate at which it is summoning, except that it loses HP at a rate of approximately 1% per Chigoe. If you have 5 Chigoes up, it will continue to lose HP, but will stop summoning. I haven't tried holding it so you have 5 Chigoes + Gate Widow up at the same time, but I kind of doubt that it would work. I doubt that the chance of a Gate Widow popping is affected by the number of Chigoes up, but I can't rule it out. I CAN say that we've had it pop with 0 Chigoes up, and with 4 Chigoes up.

Also, there is one really interesting thing that we observed and tested on the 4th Floor yesterday. The teleporting Gear on the 4th Floor have a much longer sight aggro range than they do for sound. If you approach 1 of them from the front, it will aggro (and consequently teleport away) at around 15'. If you approach one from behind, the aggro range is less than 5' (it's really tiny ... like as small as LBC's aggro range). Unfortunately, the only way to tell which way a Gear is facing is to watch it while it is moving.

Given how easily these things seem to link, however, I suspect they link to both sight and sound, or the linking range for sound is much larger than the normal aggro range.

Just as a little note to the MNKs out there, did LBC last night as MNK/WAR used Barbarian's drink, Fighter's drink, Monarch's drink, and Braver's drink ate siskebabi and had SV minuets, also had a THF for Feint. So I ended up with 999 attack all through 100f, ended up doing about 8700 dmg in 30 seconds. Also during that zerg rush we cut 52% of it's HP with 2x RNG/NIN, 1 MNK/WAR and 3 BLMs. With another MNK or two or RNGs instead, I could see this being killed in 30-60 seconds easily.

just asking because this is different that what another LS has reported to always work for them

But, after removing the ring, on the last 4 wins (and 3 losses) no one has ever died to a Homing Missle, even at 1 HP.
Thanks for the reply. I didn't have Jelly Ring or any +magic dmg taken gear on. Unless BQ ring has anything to do with it. I didn't die from the first 5-6 HM on that same run, but then 2 deaths in a row. First one did around 1050 dmg and killed me, forgot about the second one, I was weakened then.
maybe some random fluke where you were switching gear as it attacked and your max hp dropped? I know someone who switched gear as a ton throat stabbed and he died from it.

No offense --- but the whole "have to be mad/have spikes on head" is the dumbest shit i've ever heard in my entire fucking life.

We're now 4/4 on popping second floor.. Magic last hit on Magic weak - Melee last hit on Melee weak --- asked if they noticed "spikes" on their head - said no.

We've only done 5 runs, and on the 1st run we did not use magic last hit/melee last hit - and it didn't pop.

If i'm somehow wrong, i'll poop my pants - because that is seriously retarded.

We're 0/2 on this method so we gave it up. Looking back, I'm not 100% certain that the melee flans didn't die to a MNK with Amorphic Strikes on, but I don't think that they did.

Just make sure have all melee turn around at like 5-10% on magic weak, and anyone with magic nuke (Ninja tools work too wwww).

Melee weak have mages not cast shit - can't die to DoT n whatever. I'd try not to WS kill it either.

also dont listen to "North is magic weak, south is physical weak" -- blahbalhbalh those arnt accurate of what people posted but just test them when u get in... ninjitsu did like 250 dmg to magic weak ones, and dick to physical weak. not hard to check.
