Yea, according to the dats there should be 20 in the big rooms, but this doesn't seem to be the case. More like 10 in the big room. Can anyone make an accurate count next time they do the zone?

If there are "missing" monsters, maybe they are the key to spawning the dormant rampart?

Took down LBC last night with a group that was far from ideal (one WHM, no healer/Erase in the melee party, tanks and BLMs without MP/Spissatus cells) and got a Phobos's Cuirass and Bodb's Crown.

Definitely an easy fight with the right strategy.

Edit: after reviewing my log, I'm not as confident that there were significantly more than 10 in the big room, but I still think that there were. The room was pretty packed.

On one of the first few runs I did I took the time to explore and mark my game maps for some things. I remember counting the flans on floor 3 and it says 13 flans total. I only counted that one time and haven't checked to see if it was right. I'm probably off a few, but it's definately 10+

Edit: by 13 total i mean flans that are in the large south room only.

Any time I've pulled flans from the large south room has never been at great length; however, on an earlier run where we killed most of the room, the puller remarked that the mobs seemed to be repopping.

I didn't think anything of it at the time (LBC vendetta), but it's something worth investigating now.

Oh, another thing that I think is worth mentioning:

Fanatic's Drink is actually full damage resistance, not just physical as the description states. I wound up tanking Long-bowed Chariot halfway through Hundred Fists last night while Fanatic's was active. All attacks by LBC were 0, and all 3 of his TP attacks "had no effect" (neither dealt damage nor paralyzed/bound me).

On the other hand, maybe LBC's special attacks are physical.

I found the problem. I forgot to renew my domain name, and for some reason my registrar replaces all images on that domain with the highway thing ... so people with the old IP cached were seeing the old image, and people with the new IP were seeing the stupid image.

Anyway, I took care of it and I'm just nuking my sig and avatar for a few days until the domain re-updates. My apologies for the problem and the temporary derail.

13 + 4 + 3 + 4 + 3 = 27? There would still be 7 (?) missing flan? 1 "extra" flan in each of the small rooms and 3 extras in the main room?, assuming this whole extra mob thing is true.
