Inertia Stream and Discharge are magic attacks for sure. I anulled them with S.Ring a few times today.

I used a Fool's Drink (magic immunity) last night during LBC zerg. It does not prevent against damage or status effects from Discharge or Inertia Stream.

So, Fool's Drink is useless against TP attacks. Fanatic's Drink (physical immunity) renders you immune to TP attack damage, status effects, and normal attacks. Shadow Ring can annull damage from TP attacks, but not prevent status effects.

I'm not sure if this is stated in here or not, I wasn't able to find it...
So, my Salvage LS has been doing this run a lot lately, mainly farming level 35 armor for people, and we have yet to come across any Cards... I was under the impression from people that the cards drop from the Ramparts, so at the end of every Reactionary Rampart (about 2% or so) we have one of our THFs kill it. But, no Cards are droping that way, so, are we doing it wrong? lol

i believe all archaic machinary in all zones have a chance to drop cards excluding the bosses.... in bhaflau you can find the gears starting on the 3rd floor either in the west or east paths

the first and second floor ramparts have a chance to drop a card, but its prolly the same drop rate as anything else

I've gotten cards from ramparts and stuff definatly. I have a SS somewhere if needed.

Best way to farm cards is to kill Archaic Gear, Archaic Gears, and Archaic Chariot on the top 2 floors.

If you allow the ramparts to expire by calling mobs, you can still get a card. ;D

As an odd aside, on Floor 2 flans today, I happened to notice that my wyvern was breathing on them. It didn't seem to put them out of spikes mode; we went the safe route with no magic damage, and everything worked fine. But wyvern breath is, as far as I know, magic damage. Unless breath damage is accounted for seperately...

Entered from the east (2nd floor also east), without killing any gear, defeated east gears quickly (we think may have to defeat without using Restoral). Door NM Dropped Deimos Gauntlet (Ares 35 Hand)

i hate this zone so much.... last 3 attempts at bhaflau we were trying for the boss, and all 3 times mad bomber was up, but we skipped him... yesterday we thought we'd try some ramparts cause low number of people... and SURPRISE! mad bomber isnt up!

finally got the second floor rampart to pop... the south flan looked like it went out of spikes mode but at the very last second it seemed to go back in just before dying... im not sure what caused this, but i saw a liquefaction skillchain happen just before it went out of spikes.... for the other flans i just told everyone to not use magic to be safe... they all seemed to stay in spikes mode regardless of WS spam and skillchains occuring....

anyways.. 100 hunting wasps later and some single gear farming, we manage to leave with 1 bhaflau card =/


next time we go i'll try that third floor theory out... anyone know if they mean the single gears.. or just the triple gears you gotta kill quickly? and does the side matter?

Triple oly. I'd recommend perhaps building TP on outside mobs and doing a SC so your BLMs can burst. Those things are really hard to kill quickly.

Admittedly, everyone and their mother has finished this zone now, but after alot of pain and heartache, our first victory makes me happy.

Hundred Fists makes chariots go ouch.
