As I posted in the first page...
Mad Bomber is usually up for us, only once we havent seen it it'll pop in either of the dead end rooms. You need to KILL it to pop the DR, if it blows up it wont spawn the DR.

Flan DR is easy...just kill all 4 flans and it'll pop. 2/2 for us.

So is a theory developing that:

Lvl 15 items drop off normal mobs
Lvl 25 items drop off LBC (area boss)
Lvl 35 items drop off Gears and Gate-spawned mobs?

A level 15 body dropped from a card NM, as shown in one of the other threads. It's possible that body pieces are treated in a different manner, though.

Where do the DRs appear? where you killed the last mob? On the 2nd floor we ran around the Flan rooms clockwise (so the last Flan we killed was the East one) but there was no DR in the Socket room to the East.

So the Mad Bomber is just up? There's nothing that spawns it or makes it despawn? Both runs we went West and haven't seen him yet...

DR popped in the room where the last flan died twice for us.

1/3 on Flan DR, 0/6 on Mad Bomber, he's never been up when we've looked.

My group got an Anu's Tiara off a gear (single) on the 3rd floor, so it can be confirmed that those drop level 15 gear. They might drop other tiers of it, but unless there's info otherwise (and I missed it because I can't read, lulz) I'd assume they only drop level 15 crap.

Devoted today's run to the Dormant Ramparts.

    # First Floor's DR

Killed Mad Bomber and DR popped. Got warped to RR room.

One of our melees hit it one time. After that, we let it spawn chigoe until it simply fell to the ground. (each chigoe takes a bit of the RR's hp.) No Gate Widow spawn, no drops. I counted at least 75 Chigoe.

    # Second Floor's DR

Killed all four Flans and DR popped. Got warped to RR room.

Did the same thing as first floor. Skirmish Pephredo spawned as the 7th mob. The RR comtinued to spawn Homing Wasps. We killed SP and no drop. Then we meleed and killed the RR. No drops.

We did get two armor drops off regular mobs.

    # Problem of Velum Cells

On the second floor, we went east after dealing with the RR. Once we got to the 'Socket' room, our puller pulled a scorpion from the north room instead of us just proceeding south. This way, we could test to see if we could even get Velum cells on the east side.

It worked. We got plenty of them as well as a bunch of the usual stat and weapon cells.

** To tired to post moar, I'll post a better write up later on.

these are some really crappy maps I made for my LS to use... the information was taken from the JP blog I posted a link to earlier...

The cells that drop are specific to the ROOM not the MOB.

You can still get stats/equipment from either the East or West Path on 2nd floor. The major decision is between Weapons/Abilities/SJ and HP/MP. If you need more abilities (you really shouldn't, the first floor drops 3-9 and the flans on 2nd floor drop at least 4 more) you have to go NW.

You can get really screwed on HP/MP drops from Bifrons in the first floor. In general we've found that we get plenty of magic/abilities, usually all the weapons we need, SJ is often low, and HP/MP is in the air due to random drop rates.

Last time my ls went we saw Mad bomber at the NW dead end. It seems like theres no spawn condition for it, we had just started and killed a bifron and a wamoura when we noticed it was up on W.S. So perhaps it always spawns but only on one side, so you have a 50/50 chance depending on the route you take (not like theres anyway to tell).

Floor 2 we killed the 4 flans and chose to go east and no DR had popped even though east is where we saw the last one on our previous run.

So what I'm wondering is: Does the order you take killing flans determine/effect popping DR (clockwise vs counterclockwise)? Or is the pop location of DR random to the east and west sides?

If pop locations of DR is random like Mad Bomber appears to be, then that takes all the sense out of ever doing this zone specifically in order to do such and such DR/NM for such and such drop.

Anybody try using Drain TP on it LBC? Most people are saying Stun gets resisted 50+% of the time, but I haven't heard anything regarding Drain TP.

    God this zone annoys me.

    Run #3.

1st Floor went West, killed Bombs + Trolls + Flying Wamouras. Send BRD to portal and farmed equipment until we had almost everything (never got any ring/earring the whole run)

Checked for Mad Bomber but wasn't there (0/3 now)

2nd Floor killed Flans Clockwise again, no Rampart. Went North East, farmed some Stat Cells along the way (INT, STR, DEX)

3rd Floor cleared the whole damn thing, including the East and West side Archaic Gear and Archaic Gears, and the NE Trolls in both the large room and 2 smaller rooms. The only thing left on the entire floor was a Slot, which we don't have an Arrapago(sp) Card for yet. Archaic Gear (single) drops the level 15 equipment pretty common, we got 4-5 pieces total. Still no drops from the Archaic Gears (Cluster). Both have dropped Bhaflau Cards (total 3 from 3 runs, 1 from Gears, 2 from Gear)

I was really hoping that another Reactionary Rampart would spawn if you cleared the whole thing. So much for that. Maybe it's just a pure random crapshoot like the 2nd floor for us.

Yet to see a single Reactionary Rampart... can anyone who has found one explain where/how it pops? Does it appear instantly? After the mob disappears and the grey name goes away? Where the mob died? In a certain spot? Can you Widescan for it?

One theory of the second floor rampart that I had today (sorry if this has been presented already) is that it pops based on which Flan of the 4 you kill last.

The 1 time we saw it spawn, I am pretty sure we killed the north flan last (although my other LS members aren't so sure of that), and it popped right in the same room as the flan we killed (not the far east or west rooms).

My theory is that if you kill the east flan last, it pops on the west path, if you kill the west flan last, it pops on the east path, if you kill the north flan last it pops in the north room where you killed the flan, and I have no idea about the south room.

Also, today we finally killed LBC (with 11 people ... we've only gotten more than 12 for a run once since we started). Today our tank used a small pathing gitch ... he aggroed LBC then immediately ran down the stairs and to the side of the stairs right next to where it spawns. This kept the LBC facing straight forward while the tank was off to the side of it. While it was oriented this way, it didn't use Homing Missile a single time. Eventually it turned (it was down to like 70% by the time it turned) and immediately started using Homing Missile. It was still able to do melee hits, as well as it's other TP moves. Not sure if this is significant, or if we just got lucky.

Hrm. I think this will be my second post only in over a year... but here goes!

We've done Bhaflau about 5 times, and only once had the Reactionary spawn from the Flans. That time we killed in a counter-clockwise direction. First south, then east, then north, the west, in preperation for going west. We also took the east path on the first floor. Unfortunatly I had already run ahead to the portal, so I never saw the exact position of where the NPC spawned (I can ask tomorrow). Also, any and all doors that were leading to the portal had already been opeend by me,

[Edit: I just realized this would discount the idea that it always spawns on the opposite side of the last-killed flan]

If I had to wager, I'd go with what Sykes said. It's probably either which flan you kill last, or maybe the order that you kill them in. I had a thought that maybe the path you take on the 1st floor has something to do with it, but that seems a little *too* obscure.

Edit: In the future I'll attempt to stop talking out of my ass and look up information before I post. Hoping no one saw this part!

We always take the same path on the first floor (bombs and wamouracampa).

We killed counter-clockwise (south, west, north, east) then took the east path, and we did not see the Dormant Rampart NPC. That's why I speculated that it was the opposite path of the flan that you killed last, but it appears that isn't the case.

What path did you take on the first floor? Perhaps someone can duplicate your path on both floors and see if they get the same result, or if there are more elements (perhaps it's even random) to it.

My LS spawned one rampart by defeating Mad Bomber without it self-destructing. We went the wamoura route and geared up and unlocked abilities and magic before taking it on. The Rampart we popped warped us to a room I think on the 3rd floor, where there was another rampart. This one we killed in about 10 seconds flat... I think it was one of the ones that is supposed to spawn other mobs.

After we killed that rampart, we were warped again, back to the first floor.

Well when it turned on me around 70% it was for a TP move, the ray move that I can't remember the name of. It's the one that hits a bit harder than the other TP moves, but it doesn't have an additional effect. Anyhow, it was just like a dragon, it was happy to melee you if you were behind it or at the side, but if it wanted to do a directional TP move at you, it would spin to face you and do it. I tried to keep getting to the side of it during the fight, and it never turned to use Homing Missile, but like you said Sykes it could have been just luck. Keeping as many people in range of Homing Missle and out of range of the other TP moves is really important though. Thankfully Homing Missle doesn't clear shadows, so if people were positioned correctly, I could just provoke the chariot and it would be back on me.

I think you missed the post(s) which indicate that Homing Missles cannot kill a player, they just deal 90% Damage or something similar. I think the goal should be to only have 1 person getting hit by Homing Missles, and keep everyone else safe. Bouncing Hate seems to be the best strategy for this.
