Anyone else can confirm cells are stealable, and from what?

Had 2 THF's trying to steal from mobs in zhayolm last run (both NM's and non-NM's), and they didn't succeed a single time.

I wouldn't be surprised if they could be stolen from any Qiqirn in Arrapago, including the Astrologers.

Personally I think it's fucking weird that nobody has EVER gotten an Equipment drop from the Qiqirn, yet they're the only mobs in the zone that can realistically drop certain pieces. There has to be a trick to making this shit drop stuff. Is it possible they only drop equipment if you steal from them first? It sounds stupid as hell, but then again the zone on the whole seems kinda stupid too >.>

BTW, has anyone ever cleared every mob on floor 1?

Should be doable with 6, I've cleared 75% of floor 1 but it takes near on a full hour. It's better to just go to floor 2 for better drop rates once you have 1-2 magic, 1-2 abils.

Edit: also, there's a SS of a fully upgraded Ares Cuirass (page 120 of the 'best SS' thread) so at least one group has definitely gotten the lv35 ares body here.

Having to Steal from the QQTH is not a bad theory. I've also wondered if you need to clear its entire wing in order for it to drop. Like, you have to clear a wing to get Poroggo Madame to even spawn. Maybe here you have to clear the wing to unlock drops. Or maybe both of these together. Or maybe something even more ludicrous. You'd think just getting there and killing the mob would be hard enough to satisfy SE, given the difficulty of the zone.

I'd still like to see a THF trying to steal cells from everything on the first floor as well. If you could get additional cells from the start just by giving a thief abilities, then that could speed up progress quite a bit. Especially if you could steal SJ cells or maybe just more magic/ranged/ability cells.

I think Lv35 Ares's body armor is the only reported lv35 drop here (3rd floor Qiqirn THF I think?), but I dunno if it's been confirmed.

Please see page 9 (of this thread) where I was promptly ignored and then someone asked the exact same question a few days later:

Filled in my experience:

1. 1st Floor Sabotender - Never killed personally
2. 2nd Floor Rat Astrologer - Cells only
3. 3rd Floor Rat Treasure Hunter - Never killed, but apparently ares 35 body
4. 4th Floor Rat Treasure Hunter - Cells only (North)
5. 4th Floor Demonic Rose - Cells only
6. 5th Floor Orobon - Never killed
7. 6th floor Rat Treasure Hunter - Never killed

There are a total of 7 lv35 drops in this zone. If you think that the north/south rats on a single floor only have 1 armor drop, each "special" mob drops 1 lv35 armor, we have a 1:1 mapping.

ok, seeing as how the lv15 stuff drops off the archaic gears in this area (everything I've read so far hints to this) and the lv25 stuff drops off the boss, here are the mob that I personally believe may drop lv35 gear.

Sabotender Maestro (rampart popped)
Demonic Rose (Rampart popped)
Orobon (rampart popped, with 2 demonic pugils listed before it)
Any of the 6 Qiqirn Treasure Hunters
Any of the 3 Qiqirn Astrologers

I'm rather curious. What's the actual source of these claims? I've read it a few times, but the sources seem to quote one another. I don't recall reading anyone saying, "Hey, we got this drop" or "These other guys here got this drop". Did I miss something? Here's the point at which it was added to the Wiki (specifically to the Arrapago Remnants page, I'm not even going to muck around looking for when it was added to the main drop table on the Salvage page):

I don't think Airforce can be cited as a source unless there is some kind of blog they have that I can't locate/read anyway (if so, and it's mentioned there, is that the source?). The notes for Arrapago on Airforce seems to indicate that they only have info posted for the North sides of 3rd and 4th floor (and that the North QQTH dropped 3 DEX cells for them), and that they have no idea what the QQ are supposed to drop aside from that it would be lv35 armor.

By the way, I'm not suggesting this assertion is incorrect, I just can't find any reliable evidence to back up such a claim.

So, it's unconfirmed. Someone who reads Japanese could possibly find confirmation somewhere.

My LS has cleared floor 1 and a rampart popped near the entrance hallway. It summoned a Cactaur when it was nearly dead. It hits pretty hard but we managed to kill it, only dropped cells.

I don't think enough people are attempting to try and farm this zone to prove/disprove that the QQ NMs actually drop Lv35 armor. Assuming that the Lv35 armor is the same drop rate as the NMs in Bhaflau and the NMs in Silver Seas, it's somewhere btwn 10-20% drop rate. We've had maybe only one or 2 reports of killing the south QQTH's on 3rd and 4th floor that dropped nothing? Not sure how many reported kills on the Cactaur, Astrologers and Orobon though.

A. Killed the QQ before he ran out the portal room on floor 2?

B. Let QQ ran to a specific room to kill it?

Do you mean kill the Astrologer on floor 2 before it warps? It'd be quite hard to kill it in the room it starts in because I don't believe stun, bind, or gravity work on it. Ranger had to EES it on our last run to kill it before it got to the portal and so we actually killed it before it started casting warp.

Could you be more specific about letting a Qiqirn run to a specific room? I've killed the 3rd floor ones in different locations, but I still haven't seen any lvl35 drops. Just cells from certain ones.
