Popped archaic rampart on first floor, skipped it since we didn't get any HP cells. Killed 2FAstrologer(cells). Killed 3F North QQTH(cells). Killed 4F North QQTH(cells). Killed Giant Deviate Bhoot(cells). Spent remaining time farming some gears and at the last minute, we decided to use our hermes quenchers to aggro the 5F ramparts, we opened the door to 6F and a Archic Chariot popped in the middle of the room with the 2 ramparts.

Also stole cumulus cells from both QQTH ; forgot to steal from astrologer though

I would put money on at least one of the 3F Qiqirn dropping a piece of armor. But the Sabotender is a good bet also. So combine the two and you have almost perfect symmetry:

    1F Sabotender - ???
2F Qiqirn Astrologer -- Ares Cuirass
    3F Qiqirn Treasure Hunter N - ???
    3F Qiqirn Treasure Hunter S - ???
    4F Bhoot -- Ares Mask
    4F Soulflayer -- ???
    5F Chariot -- Hakama

is more symmetrical. I think once we get 1 more drop from anything it'll be a little bit clearer. Hell, for all we know different mobs drop the same thing, or the mobs people have already gotten drops from have additional drops.

Edit: Try stealing from the Sabotender
you know, I think its more like this

    1F Sabotender - skadi feet
    2F Qiqirn Astrologer -- Ares Cuirass/Morrigan robe
    3F Qiqirn Treasure Hunter N - Ares Cuirass/Morrigan robe
    3F Qiqirn Treasure Hunter S - Ares Cuirass/Morrigan robe
    4F Bhoot -- Ares Mask
    4F Soulflayer -- Morrigan mask
    5F Chariot -- Hakama
    ?? Orobon -- Marduk hands

which would explain the mixed reports of lvl 35 body drops

    Edit: Also, today we managed to get Qiqirn Astrologer glitched on the telepad... he just stood in the corner of it with weapon drawn, and didn't do anything. Didn't move, didn't attack, and didn't cast spells. Made him really easy, heh <.<;

While I hate when people post "Omg the update changed the drop rate" - especially considering it was only 1 run post update we've done Arrapago, but either we ran into a gigantic string of good luck the whole run through, or something changed since the 10h maintenance the other day.

I don't wanna "confirm" it till we do another run (probably wednesday or so) but wowsers. Almost all the lamia gave us magic, in fact we were free lotting magic on the 2nd floor (well between the melees). Cells weren't uber rare, the only cells that were any rarity at all to our group were HP cells off skeletons, however considering how weak everything hits in arra with Phalanx2, it didnt matter really.

We killed the giant soul flayer with ease, no problem, we skipped the rest because we didn't need any cells off them. We killed all the gears/nippers/ramparts on the floor in hopes of seeing HP off ramparts like we did last time, but didn't, but got alot of Anus Gaiters and the Morrigan pants lv15 part.

By the 5th floor, every melee had 75% of their armor complete, mages didn't, however they had their essential magic. We didn't get more than 1 ranged either, which hurt brd #2, but he was still able to land finales and such.

New information that we found is on this map :

    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/images/...remnants_5.jpg

Qiqirn astrologer pops after opening the center door, he'll pop in H-9 (well to the south route, we never go north).

Chariot confirmed to pop in center after touching door too.

    http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/8...rampartkg6.jpg

We spent alot of time dicking around on this floor, in fact we had 20mins when chariot popped, which we should have spent on floor 6 instead of 5, trying to confirm the boss pops, however we'll do that next time on our way up.

Very exciting arrapago, I can't wait to head back. I wanted to go back right away but not many people in the group wanted to <_<. /fume!

Oh , also found the Orobon's rampart that wasn't located.

    http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/1...obonvs9.th.jpg http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/8...lailtk7.th.jpg

Rampart closest to the door pops Orobons, Rampart furthest from the door pops Mantas. This was in the same room as the Chariot. As a Thief, I triggered it's flail move by accident (didn't know they had a flail), take care

If our next run is identical to today's run, I no longer feel this zone is as impossible as when it was first implemented. I really really really hope this wasn't us getting lucky with TH, and I hope something was ninja'd, because the difference between attempting this previously, and attempting today, was really night and day.

Good luck those doing this zone. Find more info go go go.

(btw we got no lv35 gears at all, screwed on all NMs we fought!).

Much better luck than we had with this tonight then.

Cleared NW and SE on first floor, went up at NW, eventually got to the fifth floor, killing pretty much everything along the way.

12 people, one thief, and by the end I still had only head/neck, back/waist, and legs/feet unlocked.

I think my legs/feet cell was actually the only non-head or back armor cell we got. Had plenty of each of those though

I think we had 5 magic cells total, 4 or 5 weapons, 6 or 7 abilities.

5 or 6 max HP, but way, way more max MP than we needed.

Also killed the QQTH after the Psychflayers and got cells. I believe this is where my leg/feet cell came from, but I'm not 100% certain.

No armor drops at all though, the entire run.

How many magic and abilities did you get on floor 1? We ended up with about 3 magic, 2 abilities, or vice versa. If you got the same, then consider that amazing for this zone

Btw I didn't get fully geared up untill near the end, hardly any of us had bodies untill we killed the rampart (and when I stole them off the QQ's), most of the armor came from killing lvl4+ gears/ramparts and summons.

But yeah, if you got a ton of mp/abilities/weapons, your luck mirrors ours, and it's possible the zone got a nudge in the right direction.

More stories prz of recent arrapago!

Wow that's very nice to hear. Has anyone stalked that Morrigan chick to find out where the 35 drops from here?

Also a question about the QQ nms. I know the Astra warps from the fight, what are you supposed to do to it? Do the QQ TH warp also or just run away into the other rooms? My group is getting close to doing this zone (depending on Bhaf boss luck) and I'm contemplating if I'm able to do this on days we can't do boss.

We're attempting a boss run this Thursday. Is there anything else we can look for?

Also, am I correct in assuming Rampart-spawned mobs (in addition to gears) drop armor? I'm curious to know what the crabs on Floor #4 (or was it 5?) drop.

The QQ THs just seem to like to run away, I've yet to see one warp. The Astrologers you just need to go all out on. You're going to eat a spell or two from them, and it's not going to be weak like the lamia on floor 1. Just make sure people don't hold back because of fear of pulling hate. And if you want to cast any big spells on it, start fast before it pulls a Carl Lewis on you.

Makes me happier then anything. Random drops definately make runs feel like much less of a 'waste' if NMs dont put out.

If you end up with the same luck again, it would be cool if you head straight for the top and see if you can get some screenies of the boss plus see if you can learn anything about him other than what's already been said.

We had similar luck several weeks ago ... to the point where several of our members who had never been to Arrapago before asked us why we complained so much about Arrapago. Then the next two times we went to Arrapago, we had really shitty luck. It seems really random and/or streaky.

I'll post about what mobs dropped what items when I get home from work. I would guess here but I'd rather just look it up so that I don't get it wrong.

    We ended up killing:
    2nd floor QQ
    4th floor QQ
    4th floor SF
    5th floor chariot
    5th floor QQ

and got no lv35 armor drops at all. Did get 2x anus gaiters and 1x nemains slops off of gear. If they bumped up the lv35 drop rate just a touch, this zone is easily "farmable" for 35s.

I think I'll start making some better maps of this zone based on this new information.

Crabs aren't from ramparts, they're allready up. I don't know if aurik was parsing, but to my memory it was Stat cells + Feet cells.

I did Arrapago Saturday night (Feb 24th) with 11 people, planning to hit the marks that drop 35s.

I've never spent so much fucking time on the first floor. We got magic easy enough, but everything else just wouldn't drop. It took about 50 minutes for other things to start trickling in, but I positively hate it when people have to sit around for an hour while the hand-to-handers throw their punches.

We had one THF, and all but one killshot was delivered by a member of the THF's PT. I think you guys just got the good Arrapago server.

The only drops he commented on being above average were the magic. Which it seems you experienced similar results saying that magic dropped often enough. With the exception of 1-2 weapons, 1-2 abilities, and magic, you should not waste additional time on the first floor. Go to higher floors and get stuff from soulflayers and gears.

We also didn't farm Qutrub hardly at all. I think we had only 2 weapons and 2 head cells and 1 HP cell total, because our kill count of those mobs was really low. Use moar monks.

Also if you happen to remember the names of each Lamia marked on the map that would help too.

All I can confirm is that it's not exactly accurate. I don't remember the exact placement of mobs beyond a few.

Next time I go to Arrapago (Wednesday?) I'll collect high detail maps of what is where on the 1st floor -- at least in the SW/SE, where we tend to farm.
