Tell them to make up their mind. >O
All though all these north drops are interesting. Didnt alot of the posters here go south and so thats why we might not of have found anything?
It's not hard to imagine how it might drop from bothOriginally Posted by Not Kuno
Perhaps all Astrolgers drop Ares, and all Treasure Hunters drop Morrigan.
Did our first arra today. Cleared SE wing and most of 2nd floor SE and got HP for most of our melee. Wafik was saying that was a good amount so I feel its worthy to post here. Magic was also dropping alot in various areas but qutrub are gay.
Also got 2 INT to drop from a blm skele in SE wing. Didn't see it on the wiki felt it was worth posting.
I'm starting to lean towards never fighting more than 4 Qutrubs on the fourth floor. Also never fight them on the second floor. The only Qutrubs I think I'm going to fight from now on are 4 on the first floor, and all the ones on 3F. Qutrubs are f'ing gay though, no doubt about it.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
Did this area last night, and woooooooo we got fucking hooooosed on drops.
three magic unlocks by the time we cleared the area for princess pudding, last time we had 5. Couldnt even do the NM since we only had one blm with magic agailable.
Also, about the QQTH on the 3rd floor near the portal up...how do you guys fight it ? We went west/south...and when we went to fight it, it ran all the way back towards the middle, past a couple mobs we skipped.
3 magic is good. We killed PP with only 1 BLM before, especially if you steal a Duplicatus from the QQA on the 2F it's not bad at all since you can give it to your NIN or somethign for voke. As for the QQTH on the 3F, good question. If Shadowbind works you might consider shadowbinding it and having a bunch of BLMs open with ga 3s.Originally Posted by NynJa
Once you get used to this zone it isn't bad. The only drops that relaly really suck are weapons, so as long as you need 0 weapons you can really tear through the floors.
Princess Pudding is really easy with just 3 magic unlocks. We had RDM, WHM, BLM with magic and it's simple. RDM keep up gravity, BLM kites, melees just swing away. The BLM just needs to make sure to stay far from the flan. I'm pretty sure Amorphic Spikes would one shot a BLM.
We tried something odd with the QQ TH last time and it sorta worked. We put 5 people in the middle and 5 people at the end, so the QQ just ran between the two points. As long as people put DoTs on it, it was working fine. But people did manage to screw up on one of the sides and it regened like 20% by the time it got to the other side. It still probably saved time compared with clearing out all the monsters, but not that much.
Does stun work on them? Another idea I had is to clear the entire 3F and aggro N and S QQ at exactly the same time, collect all your BLMs in the middle of the zone where you enter the 3F then have them time a bunch of -gas at the same time. This would kill 2 birds with one stone. It may not completely kill them though, so you might want to leave 1 mage halfway NE and 1 mage halfway SW to keep DoT on.Originally Posted by Sci
As far as I can remember, Stun, Gravity, and Bind all resist. Not sure about Shadowbind. I'm reasonably sure that the 3F and 4F QQTH have 2 locations programmed. One is right next to the portal, the other is out in a big room. After their HP hits a certain %, they de-aggro and run to the other spot, laying mines as they go. Once they reach the destination, they re-aggro and fight for a while until their HP% drops below the next trigger point, where they again de-aggro and run back to the other room. I don't think there is any way to interrupt their movement (cant sleep, stun, bind, gravity, or pull hate). So a good strategy would be to just keep 2 parties at each of his "camp" spots, and avoid the mine damage all together.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Does the 3rd floor QQTH ever run to the opposite side? Like the North one running towards the south mobs or south one running past the tele to the north?
It will run all the way back to the starting portal where we warp up from 2nd floor then turn around and run all the way back to the exit portal where it was initially aggrod.
Ah nice. I was worried we'd have to clear the entire 3rd floor.Originally Posted by Lhexh

0/6 on Lv35 armor; hurray for drop rate!
Airforce is now reporting that someone beat the Arrapago boss and only got 1 drop from it. W T F
I hope this is someone being full of shit lol.
Maybe they meant they got 2 of the same item, as seems to happen a lot with Salvage bosses.
Doubtful. If you can read a little Japanese look at this page: http://f31.aaa.livedoor.jp/~airforce/sal_item_area.htmlOriginally Posted by Suiram
Notice how in the tables in the leftmost column you see:
ボス(2個100%)
ボス(1個100%)
ボス(2個100%)
ボス(2個100%)
That means "boss (2 items at 100%)" and "boss, (1 item at 100%)". The one with the #1 in it is Arrapago. I guess time will tell, but anyway there you go.
I totally redesigned the drops table for this zone and silver sea on the wiki. Hope people like the new format, was a fucking nightmare to get the tables correct lol.

gonna do the rest of the zones soon, but hopefully this new easier to read layout will get more people doing salvage. People still complain that not enough of the drops have been discovered, but here it is all laid out, showing that actually very little is left to be discovered.
Indeed, I think we just need to iron out the few remaining drops in Arrapago, and then Zhayolm still has a lot of mysteries.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Heh, hadn't seen you post in a while, figured you had quit doing Salvage for Nyzul Isle :D
