I didn't see it on the wiki so I'd figure I'd let people know here if they hadn't figured it out but the BRD Merrows can also drop magic. Had one drop on both the first and third floor.

Magic, and I'll SS it next time it comes up....although I don't know how I'd prove that it was a Sam after we've killed it without some sort of elaborate process.

3) Most of the AoEs are frontal. I honestly had no idea chariots worked like this. Is this maybe specific to non-NM chariots, while NM chariots (bosses) work differently? Once we figured this out our NIN kept getting blasted by AoEs but none of the other melees were even getting touched by the AoEs as long as we stood behind.

I am positive that the AoE's (Discharge/Inertia Stream) hit people on the sides of this Archaic Chariot. I don't remember anyone getting behind during an AoE, or being in melee range and avoiding.

Try getting behind next time. We were all really surprised, but the AoEs weren't even touch us while the NIN was getting bombarded.

Boss chariot TP attacks can hit people directly behind. I did Battleclad today (I know this is Arrapago thread, but whatever) and our BRD sang songs directly behind the boss. She was hit by Inertia Stream mid-cast.

Testing the backside safety zone on the 6th floor Archaic Chariot in Zhayolm slipped my mind, since we were so pressed for time.

Posting here instead of the Nyzul thread because I think it's more important as it applies to Armored Chariot.

A guy in my group did Nyzul yesterday and fought Shielded Chariot (Armored Chariot -1), and said Mortal Revolution took 1 of his shadows and did no damage. Other people in his group did take damage from it because they had just gotten hit with a Discharge, and didn't put shadows back up yet. Also, he said it dropped light crystals. So it seems to be light based. That would explain why Thunder does shit on chariots, and Ice is the strongest (since it's the strongest dark based magic spell).

lol... if it just takes shadows , that's gonna be a chump, however back to back discharge and mortal revolution hmmm..

Diffusion ray is the only non AOE move that chariots do..

Maybe he was just spamming Diffusion Ray or something. I had filters on so I couldn't see what move was being done. But if so, it was like 3 Diffusion Ray in a row.

Anyone have a drop list for triple gears? I assume these only exist on the 6th floor or something, I've never seen one on 1-5

There are 2 on the 5th floor around the Chariot. I only have the drops in my chatlog for the 2nd one we killed and it dropped 3 Undulatus.

Aircommand also has them dropping Cumulus, so for now I'm going to assume they only drop those 2 types of cells.

Post any changes you see to it on the talk page for that page. Does the Orobon really drop nothing but hand cells? I thought it dropped some stat cells.

I think the whole Reinforcements section in general needs to be checked over. Most of the reinforcements have little to no information about the cell drops.
