    I don't totally understand the QQs behavior yet. Does the person pulling have to actually pull him back to camp? This is nearly impossible with all the sneak/blood/truesight aggro in the big rooms. Can the puller just Bio him and sac at the portal, and then everyone else wait at the entrance? If all the rooms before the big room were cleared, this should buy you a good deal of time to kill him.

    It sucks to leave a QQTH behind when that's your target, since every takedown incrases your odds of getting *something* in the zone.

    As nice as Phalanx II is, at only Lv 1 it's a real MP suck trying to keep it on multiple MNKs. If you're fortunate enough to have somebody with Lv 3 Phalanx that could be very helpful. No such luxury here, but the mobs do get to feel the wrath of my Lv 3 Slow II =p

    I'm honestly not sure if he will continue his path towards the start point once he has no aggro or not. At absolute worst I think it would be easy to BioII him and run towards the far west wall in the Flayer room and live long enough even with massive aggro since they will stop to cast to let the Qiqirn reach far enough to pull off the sac puller. If you get a Hermes Quencher from a chest then it's even easier. It's not that hard though to MGS to him safely without aggro, I've done it a few times when we were skipping that floor.

    Most of the time (or at least with my particular setup), there's 1 particular MNK taking a large majority of the hate. Especially the way we dish out abilities, we do it by person, not by job. So if MNK 1 gets ability before the other MNKs, then MNK 1 gets -everything- before the other MNKs. This always leaves 1 person as the top DD, and especially if they get first ability and are using WS and Counterstance, there's no way anyone but them will have hate.

    Does Vile Wahzil use Tribulation, and is he harder/easier/same as the normal Psycheflayers on 3F?

    If your group is serious about salvage, have your RDM merit to lv3 phalanx2, it saves a ton of MP by increasing duration by 50% as well as increasing the dmg soak by a few points.

    I have a screenshot at home of a fomor monk hitting me like 6 times in a row for 0 dmg.

    I suggest you give thieves the first ranged, and bards the second. Thief with capped marksmanship / acid bolt + bloody will be a great help for everyone, acid will help mnks, bloodies will be nice on lamias to help speed up kills.

    We used to be reluctant to give it to the thief over every other job with a more "important" ranged, but it works for the best and shaves minutes off due to def down.

    First time we fought Vile Wahzil he fucked us up bad. He's a hell of a lot harder than 3F flayers, fight seemed more comparable to the 4F Large Flayer in terms of spamming his annoying ass moves but with lower HP.

    Ya, that's a good idea too... I think we'v been spreading our cells around too much.

    Regarding the QQTHs paths, actually I realized something from our run last night....

    On 4F I opened the door to the QQTH room, but didn't aggro him and he didn't see me. A minute later he walked out to us by himself, dropped a bomb on us, and then aggroed one of our MNKs. This makes me think that perhaps they start their "route" as soon as their door is opened?

    I hear ya. I'm our resident main-job RDM; it just makes me sad I might have to get rid of Lv 3 Para/Slow II. ;;

    I'm sure this has been stated and I apologize, but sifting through the last 23 pages is kinda rough and I couldn't find the info on the wiki.

    Last night on floor 5 we were going after the chariot and it wasn't up. We killed all of the ramparts then opened the door and the chariot popped. My question is, was it killing the ramparts or opening the door that caused the chariot to pop?

    Opening the door pops the Chariot and the Qiqirn Astrologer for that floor. You shouldn't have to kill any of the ramparts btw.

    Where does the Astrologer pop? We opened the door and there was no astrologer by the teleporter.

    Ack, that's probably the worst salvage armor period.
