Airforce claimed they got Lv.35 gear off the 3rd floor(North)Qiqirn, the wiki said it as well, but since we never killed this so i can't confirm.Originally Posted by Faranim

I intentionally left out SW because it contains Qutrub and I was trying to avoid fighting Qutrub entirely. Can you sneak/invis past them? THF and MNK are realistically the only 2 people who will be needing a weapon, but if it means I have to waste 30 minutes fighting Qutrub I'd rather not even bother.Originally Posted by aurik
Yes, you can sneak+invis past them. Once you have abilities and magic, though, they die really fast. AF->DK->thunder3 from a red mage will pretty much one-shot a qutrub.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Any LS that have more than 12 people willing to do Arrapago and test out killing all Chariots on Arrapago? 4th, 5th, and 6th floor and see if they can open the sealed door. My ls is just too low no. of people for salvage.
We killed Sabo on the first floor once, it just dropped cells for us.
Apparently someone got to the Arrapago boss:

On layer 6: "It begins the door north and does not open, the door to 7 layer is released by the fact that all enemies other than the door are pushed down." -- kill everything to enter
On layer 7: "[BOSS] Armored Chariot
As for characteristic WS range damage + stun of 600. Empty cicada plural consumption types. "
AoE+stun 600dmg, strips shadows. Looks much weaker than Bhaflau/Silversea thankfully.
Of course, while the tank is stunned without shadows, he'll be getting hit like a truck, too.Originally Posted by aurik
Good thing there's 2 equipment slots + food that enhances resist stun. Oh wait, people don't use gear to help them win fights.Originally Posted by Khamsin
resist traits are fucking worthless.
Ever used the earring in Ballista? It works lol. Resist+5% is no more worthless than Critical Hit Rate+5%, yet people shell out millions for that.Originally Posted by aurik
I've also personally resisted charm more than once on Lamia 13 while wearing the locket. Nobody ever cares to try though because of the stigma that it's worthless.
Ballista resistances are calculated a LOT different, not to mention the impact of resisting in ballista is much higher.
Go ask a rdm how often their dalmatica resist has proc'd for them.
thats what ppl said about barspells too ;(Originally Posted by aurik
And barspells are worthless on end-game mobs unless you stack up 200+ resist, which leaves you with shitty HP and shitty defense, so you get ganked on the occasion that you don't resist.Originally Posted by NynJa
It's why fire resist sets for Bahamut are out and magic dmg down is in.
Or you can just ask me how often my Merrow No. 17 Locket's resistance has proced for me.Originally Posted by aurik
Even if it isn't a full resist, but just lowers the duration from 10 seconds to 8 seconds, that's 20% shaved off the time. Add another piece and maybe you can get it down to 6 seconds. Don't discount something until you try it.
Or you can ask me how often coeurl subs have proc'd for me back when deco weapons were in fashion...
You waste your time with resist traits, I'll be busy trying to figure out meaningful things.
News flash #1: Not all pieces of gear are the same.
News flash #2: Stacking resist gear is stronger than using a single piece.
Takes about 5 seconds to put on 2 pieces of equipment and run a stopwatch to see how long the effect lasts. If you refuse to do that (assuming you get to the boss) just out of stubborness, that's your own problem![]()
As much as my Resist Petrify.Originally Posted by aurik

You're going to be coping with 4 or more charmed people in Silversea, so likely you're going to be wiping or running until everyone is uncharmed. Which means if a single one of them fails to resist, you get no benefit. So let's say the chance to resist is 20%, and you need all 4 to resist, which is about 0.16%, or 625:1. Really fucking effective, let me tell you.Originally Posted by divisortheory

Actually, no, he uses magic defense reduction instead of barfire for Bahamut. Why don't you go ask him why.Originally Posted by NynJa
