My opa(german for Grandfather) sent me a 2000$ check this year for some reason. I flipped out when I saw it.
Other things include early money for my wii + a few games(early because I convinced my parnets to give it to me so I could wait in line for 15 minutes to get one).
And other random little things from the rest of the family.

$400 in cash from my two grandmas, another 150 in giftcards from various friends/family, though they're all over so not as useful as one would hope (I got a $25 starbucks card...and the only time I goto starbucks is if I have a layover in charlotte for more than an hour). I got a nice $500 overcoat (my mom got it for 100, so even better), and I got a plane ticket to Vail from my parents.
That's about it...nothing to complain about, but peanuts compared to what my sister got.

-19" LCD HD TV to hang on a small part of my wall :D.
This is where my question comes in. It doesn't have an HDMI in so I'm going to buy a HDMI -> DVI cable tomorrow. Can I use the analog audio in while using the video from the DVI in since DVI doesn't support audio? Also, will I really be hurting myself if my TV only supports 1080i and not 1080p?

In the near future maybe 2-3 years 1080p will become the norm for games but so far 720p is what PS3 puts out.
My TV can upscale the 720p image to 1080i
If you want go into system setting menu and look for the video settings, there will boxes that you can check off to see if your TV can handle it or if the PS3 can handle it.

Well for Christmas I received...
-I got about 200 dollars in cash, going straight to my "I need more Nintendo DS games" fund.
-The boys all chipped in and got me a 100$ gift card to Victoria's Secret <3, going on a shopping spree soon (hopefully tomorrow).
-Other assorted things, I got some books, some t-shirts, and ....
Two more Tiggers to go to my awesome collection! I think this brings me to about 20 something...I love my friends :D
