and overtime, those mages more often then not, get tired of babysitting people with 5+ melee jobs, and eventually will level a melee job, and 9 times out of 10 I swear that mage will end up loving thier melee job more then thier mages jobs.

I fall into the majority since I started out as Rdm and Smn then leveled Nin and now Drg which are easily my favorite jobs. Like Luke also mentioned, going as the same job (Rdm in my case) for 95% of events gets rather boring sits its the same thing over and over with little to no change.

I've yet to hear of any melee people say they don't like their job, whereas its not too uncommon to hear from mages.
