People killing each other for PS3 is silly, I mean it can't even run FFXI

So what really good groundbreaking games are available for the next-gen consoles? I mean, to justify actually purchasing one.
i've been levelling my drk (im about 68 now), and the update definitely makes the job pretty damn good, since i've experienced DRK prior to the 2 second absorbs and prior to absorb TP (i level slow). the patch certainly makes drk very different in parties and actually puts their MP to use. being a taru using absorb STR isn't a bad idea, especially since my MP pool is so large.
oh and one thing i should mention is that since i have BLM levelled, i generally use a little bit of INT/dark magic gear (which would include af1 hat, dark earring, and the abyssal earring which i cannot wear yet etc) when I cast my spells and even though I haven't done much testing, it is quite noticeable to wear dark magic gear over none.

I favor DRK/SAM w/ Hasso (Seigan sometimes necessary for the amount of hate you'll pull) and Haste build (Turban, Homam legs & feet, Dusk Gloves, Swift/Speed belt). Along with the haste spell (15%) and march I (11%) you'll be near 54%, meaning you're attacking more than twice as fast as you would normally. Also, with /SAM sub you won't get the fapworthy guillotines, but you'll deliver more damage over time as you'll spit out more guillotines per mob (2 on average, sometimes 3 w/ meditate).
Mashu. Nice avatar, love them potatoes.
But seriously, I thought I heard somewhere that physical melee haste (not the recast timer business) caps at 50%. Amiwrong?
And Judah: add something useful to the thread please... You are making bad habits.

25% cap from gear.
50% cap on recast timers. (need magic to get here)
70% cap on melee. Including dualwield enhancements?? i don't know? If not, you need a lot of haste (i.e. SV'd marches) to reach the cap here.
Good to know (or believe). Speaking about the dual wield business, I read that those enhancements just subtract a percentage from the combined delay of the two weapons. Does haste operate in the same way? If not, do they stack (before or after haste)? If so, then I would hazard that Suppanomimi gives straight 5% attack haste (no magical haste); if not, then the issue is more complex.
Lots of questions that I have no ability to test.
Dual wield is straight delay reduction I believe, which is why it reduces TP.
Haste seems to be a more encompassing effect, as it reduces melee delay and recasts and such, and the effect is more along the lines of speeding up the rate at which you cycle through delay periods rather than subtract actual delay. Dual Wield enhancements are very specific to delay itself, lowering the combined delay of both weapons, which causes a nerf in TP gain in some cases.Originally Posted by Kanodin
I dunno, maybe I'm not wording it right.
They both stack, by the way (Haste effects and Dual Wield enhancements).

i highly dobt that drk/nin will ever outparse a geared up war, but the aspir makes the spells worth it, and absorb dex str and TP +WS = higher damage, basically if your looking for that 4th war i guess a drk/nin isnt a bad alternitive
