FFXII Revenant Wings Video (DS)

[Correction]

Even the GBA could support limited video, to the point where some cart makers were putting cartoons on them and selling them at Target/Walmart. Comes as no surprise to me that we haven't seen everything the DS can do vis-a-vis video.

Is it sad that my now biggest motivation to get a job is so I can buy a DS and this game?

Is there any chance this could get emulated on a PC? I don't know anything about that kind of stuff for the newer generations.

The opening CS of FF3 on the DS and the overall 3d graphics from the game have sold me on the DS actually being a powerful system.

I have been looking for the same, and have asked people, but its always 'no'. There have been some, but fail badly when it comes to the touch screen.

I'm curious as to why they pissed you off. Not only Fran, as we can tell through your 'rant,' but many of the other characters in FFXII were very intriguing to me, and the only one I didn't like so much was Vaan.

I love Penelo, but she isn't my favorite FF character ever. That would hands down go to Garnet.

Far as comparing PS2 and DS CG...I think the quality limitation is as much simple display space as it is software. And S-E can definitely push software (barring games with lolPS2limitations). It still amazes me that I can remember getting an old LED version of Donkey Kong and it's descendant is capable of doing of PS2's worth of gaming in a handheld format of the same size and shape. Combine that with Nintendo's tendency to squeeze immense life out of it's portables, and I'm a happy camper for the next few years.

Looking forward to Revenant Wings tbh--- as long as they don't go the course of KH:CoM and make it a friggin card battle game =_= Or FFX-2.

FFIX Wasn't that bad just the plot was a little lame and so was game play. Characters were not too bad.

I don't get it. Many people bash FFIX, but I actually found it to be pretty good. Having a 4-person pt was actually nice for a change.

Also, I thought the storyline wasn't half-bad, and the character development didn't lack like in other FFs. (coughFF12cough)

My only real problems with FFIX was Trance mode and the completely random final boss. Not really sure why, but trance mode just didn't feel like the normal "limit break" system to me. ;/

Other than that, great game.

SPOILERS ON ENDING OF REVENANENT WINGS:

VAAN LETS PENELO GO WHILE THEY ESCAPE FROM THE BURNING RUINS IN THE AIRSHIP AND PENELO FALLS TO HER DEATH. LULZ

Vaan suffers for months in agony as he relives the moment of him slipping and letting Penelo go over and over again. Unconsolable, he decides he simply cannot live any longer and kills himself by stabbing himself in the heart.

Balthier learns the hard way that Fran is not a woman but indeed a trap.

Fran learns that Balthier didn't know she was a trap.

Basch cries because he didn't appear in this game at all, and as do many FFXII fans.

Bartz learns his original name was Butz and he laughs. Haha... Butz. Oh shit wrong ga--

Because...picking that lock is more definitely going to be more important than EVERYTHING ELSE that could POSSIBLY happen regarding storyline characters.
