Loved the part where you fight the other 2 dick head Ronso, the song went will with it to.

I agree, I kinda liked Kimahri from the start when I saw him Jump on you at the beginning of the game, too bad you can only do it every once in a while. One thing Final Fantasy 10 did right was music, and the music when you're in that fight, and running through the Mountains past the Ronzo village is absolutely beautiful.

Oh god don't get me started on FFX-2 Yuna. She was atleast quiet in most of FFX...in FFX-2 she was just trying to be like Rikku. I love Rikku, but I can only handle one of her.

X-2 felt forced anyways... no one needed a sequel, let alone a chick-flick-like game.

Nothing in that game was done right, except for the final dungeon/boss fights (and only because Square > all in music composing.)

I liked Paine the best out of the three actually. I adored Rikku in X but she was annoying as fuck in X-2, as was Yuna. The only thing decent about X-2 was the battle system, which was pretty fun, and the music which has become a staple in Square games. In all other ways, no thanks. I didn't play with Barbies as a kid, I dont wanna play with them now.

I thought all of FFXII's characters were complex. It just wasn't explained outright. Basch didn't talk a lot, but he wasn't stupid, he was exactly like you'd expect from a loyal Knight. Vaan was a teenage orphan, he wasn't trying to be some hero, but he wasn't running away from the chance to be one. His first appearance in the game put him in the "good" category for me, he owned Tidus in that single clip, lol. Ashe was under stress, she was probably going a bit nuts, but who the hell wouldn't get bitchy under end-of-the-world-like stress? Penelo was <3. Balthier was an awesome character, Fran was a nice sidekick for him too.

Though I really wish there was more information and backstory on the characters, I thought they were all strong characters. Unlike FFX where you have:

Weaksauce main hero that needs to "step up" to save the world.
Super nice girl who doesn't want to hurt anyone.
Strong and stupid man (Wakka)
Talkative and stupid blonde girl
etc.

I think what they did with FFXII was nice. FF7 -> FFX all dealt with past events coming back to haunt the main chars (Clouds past + orphanage of FF8 + whatisZidane/Vivi? + zomgSinkeepscomingbackforever) but in FFXII they threw you in after a single recent event, explained it briefly and hardly even mentioned anything but ancient history. You weren't stuck in the past half the time, just kept going forward.

Buttttttttttt if they made the game as big as I wanted it to be, I might not be done yet...
