I think the highest breath i took was 400 and I was even standing directly in front of him...

Honostly tho, only 1 stupider way of dieing is converting while you have DoT on RDM. but beyond that yea, you win.

For a certain noob ass LS on my server Tiamat and Fafnir breath attacks are more deadly than Flail, Wing or anythign else they have.

How the fuck do tanks still die to full damage breath attacks? Like it's really starting to bug me, most other deaths are some of those "eh multiple factors/couldnt be helped" sort of things but why in god's name are people still taking 1600 damage to breath and dying. I'm trying to think of a dumber way to die (Flails get exemption because theyre always epic/awesome) but that seems to be the epitome of "dumbfuck" IMO.

I guess this was 2? or 3? Tiamat's ago but when 16 people die to a breath attack its epic. But If I remeber corectly that was due to the tank party of the LS fighting having 4? tanks and the rdm (rdm/nin tank) couldn't properly refresh everyone... and positioning got messed up bad. Heh they managed to pull out a win still, I should of taken a screenshot.

See, now you're just talking out of your ass. We had 14 people there and it was completely stable until we had an elemental aggro someone in the tank party and it ended up displacing Tiamat just enough right before it used breath and it wiped the entire tank party. We successfully held it for 5 mins with a BLM/RDM and a RDM/DRK, only sleeping it once mind you, and recovered to still kill in roughly 90 minutes.

I saw a tiamat once turn from a bloodpact and use breath, but it didn't hit any of the members of the linkshell fighting it, instead it hit another linkshell watching and killed ~10 members.

I wouldn't call that stupid, it was simply a freak accident with all the wrong stuff in the right place.

How about raging King Arthro with like 16 people? And then dying and de-leveling..finally wiping at 1% for a BLM to kill in one shot..
