My comment was part facetiousness, part truth. It would vary from shell to shell and circumstance to circumstance. It may not be "Ridill means the difference between win and wipe" but rather "There aren't any other BRDs on and we have plenty of DD so we prefer you come BRD over WAR."

The more zergish, the more your statement is 100% accurate. The smaller the shell, the more mine is more accurate.

A Ridill does really help a WAR and DRK. Have you ever seen a DRK with Ridill/Kraken on Tiamat? That bitch gets at least 10% erased from her HP, if healed right.

Why do people think Ridill changes warrior, like it INSTANTLY changes them...

This fucking misconception makes ppl think that Ridill is end-be-all, and its really not. You need to gear yourself around the Ridill, otherwise it just wont work. Put Ridill in the hands of someone whos 8/8 axe, 0/4 Sword, and isnt exactly the highest caliber player, well guess what, you just wasted a ridill.

Give the Ridill to the person with most points, so long as they have WAR DRK RNG or THF lvled. Sam's and bst's have absolutely NO use for this.

    I agree with Nynja.

If one of those jobs has the most points or however you do your lotting, they get it, the end. If the warrior doesn't get it in your LS, they should start saving points until the next one drops.

    Me too.

Slightly offtopic, I once knew a DRG who's dream was to have a Joyeuse.

I meant DRK you assholes -.-

and if you want my justification as to why SAM or BST shouldnt get it:
    SAM:
"I want to use it for sam/rng and spam sidewinders": ok, go get a soboro.
"I want to skillup sword": /breaklinkshell
"I'm going to lvl war after I finish DRG and PUP": ok, talk to me when you start lvling war and are past lvl 60

BST: They really dont need the extra hate that the ridill would generate when soloing, and they really wouldnt get much use out of it if someone in the LS offers to gimp them in a merit party, they'd get MUCH MUCH MUCH better use out of woods/temperance.

I out-damaged a ridill WAR the other day (I used maneater/joyeuse). He wasn't poorly equipped either; had all the 'regular' gear, in fact my gear was only very slightly better than his (I don't think he had brutal earring or rajas ring). I still parsed above him (by about 1%). He had only just gotten his ridill though.
I'm guessing this was due to me having more merits than him though (8 sword, 4 axe, 4 crit, 4 dbl attack, 2 zerk/agg).
Also, Joyeuse gets piercing-damage bonus (125%) on birds.

After the PT I accidentally put double attack up to 5 instead of berserk, aggressor to 3 each. Idiot

Zeus didn't get Ridill in TBC. He got it in Illuminati.

WTF IT SAYS BST ON IT, I DESERVE TO LOT IT. IF SE DIDNT WANT BSTS TO HAVE RIDILL, THEY WOULDNT PUT THEM ON THERE. I HAVE E 200 SKILL POINTS IN SWORD CAPPED. I'D BE A SPIRITS WITHIN MONSTER. Also I prefer Maneater/Temperance

I think he meant Ridill or Kraken.

At least that's what I hope he meant.

Dual Wield averages nearly identical, except that some strikes are made with Dagger accuracy which is 5 higher at 75 than club. Not a big diff, but it averages about the same in the end.

    care to explain ??

Maximum hit per round is 8, this is a fixed cap. Kraken no dual wield means you have 12.5% of hitting 'max strikes' per round.

going Kraken/Ridill or Kraken/MKris means you have 11 chances of swinging every round, but any swings after 8 will not proc. This math goes past what I'm willing to do, since it involves working with the 12.5% chance of every kraken swing and the 33% chance of every MK/Rid swing.

But in the end, I'm pretty sure that 11:8 is better than 8:8.

If you look at what Nynja posted, basically, dual wielding a ridill/kraken gives you a much higher chance of getting a full multi-hit attack around, but is slower for overall tp gain, something like that.

You swing slower, with a higher chance of doing more hits. Choose your poison I guess.

ya ya ya warcry merits bla bla

anyway points systems fail at items like ridill and perhaps dring and now hauteclaire (perhaps others cant think of any atm), no matter what system you have in place some twat is going to have the points to out lot a war or a rng and will quit the game or shell somewhere down the road because people will hate them for it

our shell doesnt use a point system and the people who are most deserving i.e. attend daily events, come to the most camps, have the most playtime with the shell etc etc get the ridill

yes we've had numerous ridills quit one of the most notorious being the best equipped/skilled rdm in the shell who balllicked his way to the top and leveled war basically to obtain this ridill and then quit a month or two later due to boredom or some gay shit

if thf and bsts and sams are going to quit because they cant lot it tell them to level war past 60 then they will be considered

it may be a "toy" but its very powerful when used in certain situations
