I have no desire to level any of the jobs that have a real use for it, so I have no reason or desire to own one.

I got assjammer off the first Fafnir I ever fought, past that point the only thing I ever wanted from Kings (well disregarding D Ring ) was Hrotti, which I picked up a few months later.

I am not going to sit at fafnir for a year for you, im going to sit at fafnir for a year for me and my LS. I honostly dont give a fuck if you want a ridill as a THF or a ridill as a SAM, I'm not going to waste MY TIME camping fafnir so you can get one. A ridill a LS gets is not that person's ridill. It is the LS's. You did not go out and solo a fafnir for god knows how long to get your weapon. Why would I waste my [and my ls's] time trying to get you an item just so you can say you have it?

If you want one so bad you wont have a problem leveling the correct job then lotting it, if you dont want it that bad then you dont level the job for it and you dont get it til everyone that is a WAR gets it.

Its not effecting my opinion im the say way about every single piece of gear in this game, if a job can use it better then you, they get the item. Fuck BLM dalmatica's, DRG w.bodys, DRG w.legs, BST osode[not really a big deal sence not rare anymore :\ but still], bst E.bodys etc. Its fucking pointless and a waste of my, and LS mates, time. Ridill is one item on the list, I honostly get angry when people try to defend giving an item to someone that is going to sit on the item. If they want it that bad they wont mind leveling the job.

Thank You, this was the point I was trying to make. Funny thing is, many people with ridill and a warrior at 75 will most likely bring another job to an event. Not all events, but many. Heh.

Btw, thf/nin with ridill is godly with proper gear. Sadly most people don't see that. I'm sure Nynja would agree with me.

WAR, THF, anybody can quit the LS. When determining priorities for this sort of thing, the possibility of someone leaving has nothing to do with their job. Such a possibility shouldn't even be part of the decision, unless you actually know someone (regardless of job) is planning on quitting. It's just a fact of life and can happen to anyone and any item.

It's a point that didn't need to be made. Obviously, the people saying ridill should go to WAR first aren't going argue that its ok to give a ridill to a WAR they know is going to quit soon simply because they are a WAR. But they still will maintain that, all other things being equal (such as future tenure in the LS), between a WAR and a THF, the WAR should get it.

I agree with Khamsin. Obviously, I have no problems with giving Ridill to a THF who has raided his butts off or a RNG for that matter. It's just how effective will it be in their if they do happen to get it. For example, how effective is it for a WAR to get Ridill and then try lolHydra so to speak. The punshiment dealt to it is considerably large compared to a regular WAR, provided the Ridill WAR has the merits and gear for it. A Ridill WAR can and is extremely effective in certain events with it and mostly in meripo PTs.

I'm not arguing that I'd give a THF Ridill over a WAR who's going to leave soon. I'd be stupid to give it to that WAR. I'd much rather it stay in the LS. But, when handing out items, you need to keep two things in perspective; 1) their point standing in your LS and 2) which job will it favor the most and least, for that matter. You can't start handing shadow pieces to the people with the highest points, they may never level up a tank job that can use it. But, hey at least we gave em something they wanted, right? Wrong. Don't become like that LS who gave Novio Earring to a WHM-onry. Have common sense when giving out very rare items such as these, as you will never know when you'll ever get a next one...

Nothing is wrong with BST (who camped and earned) an Ebody getting an Ebody. BST use E.body for equal amounts as a WAR or DRK does.
