    Running FFXI from an iPod

I don't know if there's been a topic about this or not--my apologies if there has been one.

Is it possible to install FFXI on an iPod and connect it up to a PC and play (from the PC, not the iPod), basically turning my iPod into an external HDD? I don't want to install it on the PC itself, since it isn't mine, but it'd be nice to be able to access the game when I'm away from home (I play on PS2.)

    Thanks. :D

EDIT: Edited for clarity. Thanks for the quick replies!

It might work if you had a .reg file that you could put in every PC with the installation info, then maybe you can run the game from the ipod in disk mode.

But you might have to do the check files option everytime you try to play (IF, IF, IF it does in fact work).

Could you even read what was happening on the screen? @[email protected];;; would be so fucking small. I could see it possible though, my friend has Linux on his ipod and was playing EQ2.

No, no no, you cant play ON the ipod, you have to plug the ipod in a computer (windows onry) to read the files.

Yes, that is what I meant. Sorry, I read over it again and it is a little unclear.

Sorry to bump, but does anyone know if this is workable?
