The two cases don't at all correlate.

Saddam was the US's pawn in the middle east, he was put into power and was supported continuously (the old argument of saddam being on the cia payroll until the mid/late 90's). If your god/you believe that God takes your hand and kills someone, or takes your penis and yadda yadda, then you might have a case...otherwise, I don't see it.

Yeah kinda. No killing is an ideal and I think it's also what everyone would like to see. But I really don't see how people would honestly see not being killed (and not being tortured since that seems to go hand in hand with that mentality) as even close to "fair" for people who do some of the worst things a human can do.

Saddam got what he deserved, but I think the US should have focused their efforts elsewhere. We should have looked to Iran, Syria, Darfur, or North Korea before turning to Iraq. Saddam Hussein was a terrible person but on the world scale he is a small threat. the Kurds say he killed 180,000 people by use of Gas, but more than double that have died in Darfur over the last 3 years. Iraq now is probobly much worse now than with Saddam, because at least there wasn't a Civil war going on with Saddam.
