When it comes to normally used weapons for Blu alot use Disector main hand.Originally Posted by Celeras

Because Tulwar is only Hax on Windsday. I'd probably use Martial Anelace for Vorpal if thats all i was doing, I would think the extra 100% tp(Chance of crit) on WS would outshine the +6% on Dissector.Originally Posted by Excalin Garisk
Though none of that is related to the current situation.
More like a combination of your higher Attack (you mentioned having 440ish during the first test and 490 with minuets - 50 Atk is a lot and could alter dramatically your performances, depending on mob's DEF, idk how much you need to get to the diminishing return zone while fighting Colibris) and the crits+ on Dissector.Originally Posted by Celeras
If thats all it takes then I guess I am overstating the base damage on the weapon. It was my understanding that this was the make or break with multi-hit weapon skills, and thats the real reason that Vorpal sucks so badly.. and why the dagger update was huge.
I guess thats as far as I can take Blu Vorpals then, I dont think ive overlooked any signficant sources of Str gear they can use. I looked into it all pretty extensively when setting up Cannonball gear, the only thing im really lacking is pants.. and the only pair of +str they can use is from Kurrea(+2).
Not heartbroken or anything, I wasnt really trying to make it viable because it would never be (comon, its a casting job, and spike potential with TP is there with more then 1 spell. Its just on a 2 minute timer ;x). Was just looking for a toy to bring on weaker things/farming.
The consistency/inability to boost asuran damage gets a little old sometimes ;x
/nod, I feel your pain on the Asuran thing.Originally Posted by Celeras
If what Searain here says is true, then you might try adding more DEX into your WS set. Incidentally, I've never heard that before; that DEX's effect on inducing a crit on crit-happy WS like Rampage, Jin, Vorpal, is any higher than it's effect on inducing a crit on a normal melee strike. Any further info or data you can post on that, Searain?
Dagger update was huge but it increased DoT for thief, not WS damage much. Although it's a small boost to DE as well, it's mainly about having DoT much closer to the other melee's.
I seriously thought that main hand weapon damage was the end all for multi hit skills. Oh well ;xOriginally Posted by Eaglestrike

i have a feeling that a BLU's VB will be a lot hotter with some morrigan gear. The main issue with BLU's Vorpal ATM is definetely lack of good WS gear. there is hardly anything out there for BLU which has both STR and ACC or ACC and ATT. so Vorpalling as a BLU/NIN you would have to sacrifice something somewhere (not enough ACC = miss one or more hits/ not enough ATT/STR= shitty hits).

They still make that?lol wth dont you eat Ready brek? o_o;
ive hit 1300 vorpals on skoffins with a brd and berserk(probably dia3 too)!!
avg around 700 though at mamool ja spamming, and 1k'ish on puks.
isn't martial anelace for savage blade only.
TP for crit WSs doesn't really do much... +crit% would be better.
Bumping this since Blu just got a Maneater Sword, and im actually considering giving it another shot in merits.
Main Hand for Vorpal:

Some combination of the three for sure (if i even decide to /nin? might go /war and see how i do with cocoon/genbu shield/zephyr mantle mitigation wise. Berserk + DA vs. Dual Wield and Shadows? Meh, mantle is probably too long a cast), just cant decide TP bonus vs. Crit % vs. Base damage.
Instincts/rest of the thread tell me Dissector?
You know the latent is active during WS right? TP drops to zero pre-WS, hence you count as <100TP during WS.
8 base damage, 15 attack, and x accuracy seems a pretty high price to pay for 6% crit![]()
It'd be active in the off hand too. Its pretty much just the Base Damage vs. the Crit when comparing those two swords. (because if one of those was in the main hand, anelace is out of the equation and the other is in offhand.)Originally Posted by Delekii
