Still no Wiis at any of the 7 stores around me

Show up 30 mins before open...
Dude: "Sorry we sold out, people waited in line"
Me: "Everytime I ask, you never know when they are coming in, how are these people always in line?"
Dude: "We have people camp out everynight, whether there's stock or not"

I am still quite pleased that I froze my ass off for a Best Buy onsale 1 week after Thanksgiving. I don't relish the idea of what it would be like had i not done that.

Sure... frostbite is no fun, but worth it i say, and so far there isn't a game out that i NEED my toes to play.

As far as battery life, i would say just less than 40 hours is a good estimate for us. Zelda can and will eat up those batteries, especially if i "AFK" for a few minutes every now and then.

Once this hits shelves though, it will be a thing of the past for me.

lol, i'm still glad I just waited 10 minutes online and refreshed a simple page and bought a 600 dollar bundle, then exchanged half of it for stuff I actually wanted.

I waited in line for a Wii and also bought my friend one (he's about halfway paid up now ) release day, after I saw the line outside the Target on East St when I picked up my copy of Zelda. 8 hours, but it wasn't that cold, and I actually had fun because some guy brought his Ps2, and 27 inch T.V., and about 7 hours of South Park. I might have actually enjoyed myself if it hadn't been for some guy chain-smoking nearby (like, never going more than 5 min without lit cig in hand chain-smoker). Drove me nuts. I'm still quite surprised that it's almost February and they still are being snatched up like that.

Zelda loved, played, and moved on, same with Bonk's Adventure, current obsessions : WarioWare and Rayman. 8)

    I GOTTTTTTTTT ONNNNEEEEEEEEEE.

It was so (got it yesterday... just came home and played it... posting now lol) random... I was sitting here and I had this completely motivationless impulse to give Walmart a call, so I did. This is how it went down:

    *ring*
Lady: "Thank you for calling Walmart, Electronics, how can I help you?"
Me: "Hi there. I know you get this all the time, but do you by chance have some Wiis in right now?"
    Lady: "Yup, we have four."
    *long silence, like 30 seconds*
Lady: "Hello? Are you still there?"
    Me: "Uhh... omw."

Store was about 10 minutes away, so I was afraid that people would possibly get them before me... but when I got there they had three left. =D Unfortunately they didn't have any of the HD cables (are those worth it?) or extra remotes/nunchuks. I did pick up Zelda though.

    AWESOME.

I clocked in around 42 on mine. No walkthrough, but I didn't collect the majority of the Golden Bugs and Poe Souls. Got Magic Armor though, found it to be somewhat overrated, I had no problem vs Ganon even under "get hit a lot til you figure out how to kill him" mode with 2-3 faeries. I am glad they have been continuing the tradition of Zelda playing a better role in the Ganon fights (instead of a glorified key in OoT), hope she gets even more spotlight later.

Component cables are definitely worth it Epical. The difference when playing Zelda with component and composite is like night and day.

Grats Epical! Can't comment on the HD Cables, we have the Wii on our normie TV downstairs, so I am not going to bother. I will pick up the SVid cables... in like... 2010 when i can find them.

Have fun with Zelda. I am about 30 hours or so in, and have left myself PLENTY to do... just kinda taking my time and enjoying it.

Those fights were so epic, I loved every minute of the end of the game.

I loved everything in TP from the second you get to Zant's chamber until the end... it was the epidomy of an epic game lol.

As far as component cables go... if you have a 30"+ HDTV, i'm sure you see kind of blurry... component cables set you right, making the image very very sharp and crisp (and the more you move away from the TV, the better it looks.) I personally own a 42" Sharp Aquos HDTV, and the difference with and without the components are like night and day.

Right now the Wii is hooked up to our 42" plasma upstairs, since hooking it up to the bigger one downstairs would require taking the TV out and re-configuring the receiver (which will be tonight's task, or whenever I get my component cables).

Thing is, the TV it's on right now is kind of high up, and the sensor is all fucked (well, not really, just kinda weird at times). The sensor bar *is* located beneath the TV, but it's higher than a TV would be usually, so maybe I'll just change the setting to "above TV" and see if that increases the responsiveness.

That's why I didn't hang my TV... it was just going to be too frustrating playing the Wii.

qft, cheaper AND the original Nintendo ones are better than the crappy 3rd party cables they sell out in random stores.

Nintendo's online store should be the first place you go to for any accessories for the Wii.
