The only dungeons I found to be short at all, were the last 2. Other than that, they are all pretty long actually.Originally Posted by Exoduso

That's good then... I don't plan the game to end before the 60hr mark if I keep this pace up.
I'm thoroughly going through every single detail in dungeons and stuff like that, and really try to do my best to solve the puzzles myself (and to all the people that use guides for them, that's why your game seems so short.)
I think when I first went through the Water Temple in Ocarina (now I use the guide for it, but the first time I just went in blindfolded basically trying to figure out the damn thing) it was annoying as hell. So sure, it took a few hours, but getting that sense of accomplishment is far greater than just using a guide to get through the thing in 20 minutes.
Same goes for TP... figuring out that damn combination on the boss key door took me a good 15 mins because I tried using the boomerang the old conventional way (tried shooting it up and having it hit all 4 in 1 go, which it did -- but it didn't do anything.) (Oh yeah, and I didn't pay attention when I received the item to know you can target multiple things at once with it, so it was even harder figuring out that puzzle) but it's a lot more fun to play Zelda games this way.
I don't really see how people can claim this game to be "short", when I am 3/9 on dungeons, with 10 heart containers, barely 15 poe souls, and 32 hours in.
I just beat the final boss last night at probably around 75-80 hours. I'm still missing a lot too, didn't use a guide yet. I did idle sometimes though, so, actual playtime might be a few hours less.
Well then there you go.
EDIT: By the way, when I idle, I press the home button so it kind of freezes the game... I never checked to see if it still counts as the total hours ingame though.
Yeah, that's what I did. I think it does still count to the hours though, if not, then I am actually at around 75-80 hours lol.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Let's shift the focus away from Zelda spoilers back to my lack of a Wii.
Thats what I was referring to. The end comes quicker than you think. The last two dungeons are immediately after the seventh, and are extremely easy and short. I'm not saying the game is short. But don't think there's still a lot to do once you get to the 8th dungeon. There isn't.Originally Posted by Scythiroth

Is it storyline heavy at least? (the final two dungeons)Originally Posted by Flarega

I am still amongst the saddest of pandas.
Me: Do you have any Wii's in stock?
Best buy guy: No but we have plenty of ps3's available.
Me:and walk away.
I was patient for 2 months, but now i'm bored as fuck and wanna play zelda.
The Best Buy I've been calling frequently now answers with
"Hello, you've reached Best Buy, where we are still sold out of the Nintendo Wii. This is ___ speaking, how can I help you?"
Gamestop.com has had a bundle up for a week now... just buy it and sell the games you don't want on ebay or something.
It's a fairly good deal.
There's something about a retailer that won't sell me a $250 product without forcing me to buy $350 worth of shit I don't want along with it that makes me furious.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Since I doubt I'll get my hands on one up here in the bay area before I head back down this weekend, and there's no way in hell I'm getting one soon in a town with 2 colleges and 2 retailers... I'm probably going to spend my money on a decent LCD widescreen TV to prepare for some 16:9 Zelda sometime in the distant future, but in the meantime, maxing out FF12.
Bundles, eBay, and Wii gift cards ruined my holidays. :(
It's a long game. I beat it with a decent number of things around the 45ish hour mark. Missing a couple heart containers, probably 4 bugs or so and about 10 poes. I can't see beating this game on the first run through in less than 35 hours. I can probably see a speed run clocking in around 15-20 hours.Originally Posted by Exoduso
The problem with a speed run is that they nerfed the backwards jumps... now they don't get you as far, and therefore you must use the annoying rolls, which makes getting around much slower (until you get the master sword and are able to warp wherever you want that is.)
Just got some stuff emails from work, apparently most of the Targets are gonnna hold the Wii's till Sunday Jan 21st for their ad. whether or not the store puts it out early is up to them
The curse of the elusive wii has abated. Called one of the three local EBs and they got 6 in, i drove Mr. Wolf pulp fiction style across town and picked up the last available one and zelda while i was there.
