Heh, I used to do that with PLD and RDM. Started catching myself, and have since stopped.

Also had trouble properly saying "Paladin" and "Ballad" because of the way I always said it in my head before I started using TS/Vent. I used to say them "Pull - ah - din" and "Buh - lad", but I was like wow wtf, stop being retarded Epical, and have since pronounced them properly as well.

Hmm, I say both, but "Riddle" more.

I also used to have a guy in my LS who would pronouce "Jeuno" "Draino". Fucking drove me up the wall.

Anddddd how do people say "Gustaberg"? Guu - sta - berg or Guss - sta - berg?

Seeing as I rarely look at the spelling of half the words I see, Prounouncing these was easy for the first time I said them in my mind. But, since they were my first impressions, they stuck with me.

    Horrible Prounciation time GO

I think in chineese pronunciation Byakko is said like "Bai-kuu".
I say it like that when I want to annoy people on vent.

I swear it just drove me bloody nuts on TS when people in my old LS would be talking about gods.

Byakko was reasonably straightforward, but the way one of them said Seiryu (See-roo) just irked the hell outta me. I say it like Say-reeyou, with the 'ryu' as more of a glide...easiest way I can describe to people how the 'r' sound is is 'halfway between L and R.'

Some of the ways I say things really don't translate well into text just because of letters that are more breathed than articulated (Garden of Ru'hmet [ru-h*exhale slightly*met] for example). Shakhrami maze falls into this, and a few other things that I can't quite think of at the moment for some reason.

    Bos-tau-niew Ew-blae-ete

That's about the best I can do there. The first syllable in Oubliette is kind of an E dipthong, spoken at the back of the mouth. 'ette' is very common in French and can be pronounced almost like a syllable and a half 'et-ah' but it's mostly just the emphasis on the palatal t. This is one of the few loan word place names that actually makes some sense in it's original tongue. Aside from bad spelling it translates from French into English as "Forgotten Bastion" - oublier being 'to forget' and Bostaunieux being some weird bastardization of Bastion, which is a kind of fortress. Fitting name for the dungeons of the Chateau d'Orguaille.

Pso'xja is a fun one to say as I pronounce it almost tso-chaa with the 't' being a long palatial combined with the 's' and the ending being 'ch' but mixed with the 'j' from jazz.

The one thing that just pissed me the hell off on my old LS' vent was people calling Attowah Chasm "At-wa Ch-asm" with the CH being the same as in Church. /slap /slap /slap it's a k-sound you dolts. GAWD That and calling Paladins "Plad's" for short which makes no damn sense for me as it's not even an appropriate nickname.

I get my e's and i's mixed up. I also spell stuff how I sound it out. So if the e is supposed to be an a or an a is supposed to be an i, I'll be close .

Sometimes I find it easier to read the names in FF maybe because of speaking spanish and sometimes from the phonetics of the japanese names . And I always say:

Byakko: bee - ah - koh

Mount Zhayolm: Mount Zay - olm
Castle Zvahl: Castle Z - val
Grand Palace of Hu'Xoi: Grand Palace of Huu - Hxoi (it's hard to pronounce the X in spanish in words like these)

Bostaunieux Oubliette Bos - tah - new - Oo - blee - eh I don't speak French, but since San d'Oria always seemed French to me, I figure it's something close to that.
Attowah Chasm Attoh - wa - Kasm
Genbu G as in get, Gen - Boo It drove me crazy when people said Jenboo.
Kirin Kir - in With Rs rolled.
