    Nope, look closer at the "r"

    My first thought was to say they were old Dragonlance players. But of course there were Paladins in Dragonlance, so that's no excuse.

    aern = air-n

    phuabo = fu-way-bo
    xzomit = ex-zom-it (heard people say zom-it silent x)
    yovra = yov-ra
    euvhi = you-vi
    ghrah = gir-ah
    zdhi = zed-he

    And then the prefix on the names. Do people say the letters or try to pronounce the full word (I personally just say the letters):
    Om'aern like O-M or Om-aern (like om nom nom)
    Ul'aern like U-L or Ul-aern (like you'll)
    Ix'aern like I-X or Ix-aern (like sticks)
    Eo'aern like E-O or Ee-uh-aern (like eon)
    Aw'aern like A-W or Aw-aern (like awe)
    Qn'aern like Q-N or Qn-aern (like quin)
    Aern - ay-urn
    Hpemde - pem-day
    Phuabo - foo-ah-bo
    Xzomit - zom-it
    Yovra - yov-rah
    Euvhi - yoo-vee
    Ghrah - g-rah
    Zdei - zee-day

    The prefixes are mostly how I pronounce them with the exception of "Eo'aern" and "Qn'aern" which I pronounce more like "Oh-Aern" and "Kun-Aern".

    On Mhaura?

    M-haw-rah.

    I kinda want to correct them...but I also don't want to come off as (more of) an asshole.

    As a side note, Shiva is pronounced She-Va, right? I know some other people that pronounce it with a short "i".

    Just pointing out SE's minor fail at translating one word into two within the same game

    it's not as funny when you have to explain it

    I pronounce things pretty much like everyone else, though I have heard people on vent mangle these to no end.

    Mhaura - Morra
    Xarcabard - zar-ka-bard (a guy in my old LS pronounced it X-carabad for some unknown reason)
    Dynamis - DIE-nuh-mis
    Byakko - B-yocko
    Kirin - Kee-rin
    Beadeaux - BAY-doh
    Yagudo YAW-goo-doh (Though I think the second syllable is emphasized in Japanese - ya-GOO-doh)
    Sune-ate - Soo-nay Ah-tay
    Hagun - HAH-goon
    Magus Jubbah - Maygus JOO-buh
    Kogarasumaru (the SAM mythic) - KOH-gah-rahs-maru

    Oh, and just for shits and grins...
    Brogame - THE DEVIL!

    I don't think these two have appeared yet. Wonder what you guys think of Metsanhaltija and Metsanneitsyt. They're monsters that appear in the BC Grove Guardians.

    Maybe not such difficult words, but the pronounciation in Finnish is quite different from English so I'm curious... I'm no good with English pronounciation, can only think in Finnish, so I pronounce everything like they're written.
