By implying that it IS a death fight, you void that characteristic from both characters.
C'mon, it's not that hard to see that is it?
One of the best posts in the thread. Is Batman nice? No. Is he one to take a villians life unless absoultly nessacary? No.Originally Posted by Erebus
One of my favorite comics/cartoons with superman is when he is fighting against Darkside the second time in JL cartoon series, Kent snaps and says he will kill Darkside or die trying and is burtal as possible. Never saw the other half of that episode ><
I didn't imply Batman would kill Superman directly. Fighting to the death is so absurd for their characters, but that isn't my point anyway.
Batman going all out, with the exception of large amounts of Kryptonite, wouldn't really kill Superman. He doesn't really have to fear killing him, so he can fight at his best.
Superman is a completely different situation. Him going all out would probably destroy the Earth around him. He would fear taking the lives of people, especially a friend like Batman(even on a subconscious level).
In most situations only one of them has the will to kill, and it's usually Superman, because they are under some type of control. When under control, Superman is usually twice as dumb as normal, which would be about on a 4 year old's tactical level. Another bonus is that, even in this state, at least most of the time, he subconsciously still doesn't want to harm people directly(but will do so still).
hahaha, you're in teh zillaz. I gave up competition shortly after ff11 came out. Sapphire Blade reached #1 in most of the ladders there. Siege was like a 1 week thing and it was fun, until the team we challenged for #1 was a mix of rapture and all them boys. It was short lived.Originally Posted by Swatt

BRP, I understand what you mean, putting two characters that would not kill in a death fight is absurd. But in all honesty, there is nothing in Batman's repertoire that could seriously hurt let alone kill Superman, even with that lolkryptonite ring.
As far as Superman destroying the Earth, I don't think the fight would last that long. If Superman really wanted to kill Batman or almost anyone, it would happen in the blink of an eye.
P.S: I say lolkryptonite because it's the weakest weakness ever. If I had a penny for everytime he's been exposed to it and didn't die...

I think a lot of people really do not get this point. The main bond that Superman and Batman have is that they share the same moral code about killing. They disagree on most everything else, but they both try to not kill and not leave people to die. For as grim and dirty as Batman's reputation, I do believe that Superman has had to kill more often that Batman has.Originally Posted by Erebus
