I thought Iron Man's metal-encased body was a byproduct of some blast or some magnetic field orrr something, or I'm just pulling my Iron Man knowledge from overhearing Black Sabbath lyrics while playing Guitar Hero II.

Tony stark was captured by some evil guy, and was forced to build them a weapon. He built the suit and broke out. iirc.

Yea, some Vietnamese guy captures him, and forces him to make weapons. Him and other captured guy makes the Iron Man suit, of which Starks takes and pwns the Vietnamese warlord.

Yeah, my misunderstanding came from his alterations on his suit which was a thin layer of metal molecules held in place by a magnetic field or something to that effect, allowing it flexibility+strength and to look more like a metal skin in the later series, rather than a man in a bulky suit of armor.

Faster then a speeding bullet people. Batman can have all the kryptonite he wants, as a human he stands no chance of getting it anywhere near superman in a planned encounter. And in an random encounter, batman never stood a chance to begin with.

I'm getting really tired of all the votes from people who don't read the comic books, Batman considers himself the worlds only protection against superman should he ever go bad. he has thought out and planned several ways to subdue superman if he should need to, he considers it his duty. So there is no real such thing as OMG if he didn't have time to prepare. If you read the books you know batman has prepared and he has proved it in the past.

Trufax, Batman has whupped Superman's ass multiple times. The ones that stick out most vividly in my mind atm are from the Hush storyline and also the always famous scene of Batman beating the piss out of Superman in Dark Knight Returns.

Seriously, imo this is a no contest, Batman > Superman in a fight any day of the week.

comics are your best friend, although i'm sure you can wiki most of it. Probably alot of information is from superman/batman fanboys and will be really skewed though.
