lol i've never seen any Pana reps - at least not yet anyway. Problem is a lot of these reps are employed for like a campaign (promo period etc) which means they don;t actually know anything - it's interesting to hear some of the stuff staff get told by other reps lol.

I'm convinced that's how this whole plasma gas is refillable came about.

As for me, my business card is left in every store and having worked in retail for the past 11 years (argh) i'm fully aware of when I should and shouldn't spend some time in store. If i'm in a store longer than usual, it's usually due to being requested to train on additional products/staff.

GameStop is probably one of the worst places to work at. I started working when Babbages was around, then Funcoland took over and then Gamestop bought them out and I quit a bit after the time GameStop bought out EB.

I worked from just a normal associate, to being one of the youngest managers at 18 for GameStop and then became one of the youngest District Managers at 20. Needless to say when you become a manager/DM you get to see everything, and my god.. GameStop is the biggest pos ever, ill just leave it at that. My advice to anyone who works there, leave asap.

Ive worked in my family business in past summers, we do tree services, landscaping, lighting, etc. Hard work, but good exersize After that ive worked at a few places as a Network Administrator.

Finally, at my current job, ive been here for about a year and im the Network Engineer. Biggest job ive had / most responcibility, but yet I <3 it because its something that comes to me natuarally. And good $$$

Work as a picture researcher for a travel publishing company. Which basically means I get to sit at my desk, sending photographers out to take images for me. Also work a fair bit with copyright, which is just mind-numbing...

Currently researching a book on Budapest. Decided I quite want to visit there...

I currently hold a temp job at an insurance company, but had an interview yesterday for a full-time position. They ran down the list of benefits for me and, as I guess shouldn't be too hard to believe, the health benefits at an insurance company are incredible. Full dental for $2 a month please 8)

No, you can't have a grant unless you are a 501 C 3 tax status, we don't give grants to individuals. So don't ask!

Actually it is really nice to work here, we don't have to make money, we give it away.

I'm a Secretary/Admin. I'll probably never leave as I get kick ass bene's. 4 weeks vacay a year, plus we close the week after christmas. I only work 35 hours a week and get paid for 40. Pension, full match 401k, and pay nothing out of pocket for medical/dental.

Dream job would probably be a stay at home mom. (yea, i know its cheesy!)

Current: Insurance Agent for Nationwide...well to be more precise, I am one of 3 associates for an agent which owns four offices, so I run one of them. I am basically my own boss (big boss don't bother me at all, since I seem to maintain my office as his most profitable in P&C), have all sorts of benefits, vacation, etc; so can't really complain.

Dream: Not sure tbh, used to want to just get it over with and go through Medical school, but once I kept advancing in the insurance industry, the more I got sidetracked from med school (and having wife, son, house, car payments...)...I guess as long as I can make a decent living and provide for my family, is all that matters

My degree is actually in graphic design though, and I enjoy doing traditional art. So I'd like to eventually work in illustration or a similar type of field. I'm not generally too confident in my own work though, and lack the personality traits that tend to lend themselves towards success in the art world. Plus I like consistency, so freelancing or something would drive me nuts.

I'm not sure exactly where I want to work. I'd prefer a job where I get a computer and just respond to peoples problems, but something higher up that pays me enough I don't have to worry about my pay. I'm thinking maybe one of the IT guys at a local college or something, not sure exactly how much work that is. Still need to get certified and stuff if I ever want to do that, though.

Edit: Elphaba I'm so going to visit! (well, doubt it...but my best friend IS a huge reader so he'd have something to do and it'd make the drive less boring) Springfield is only like 45min or so away from me, I think? I probably won't get anywhere asking people for "Elphaba" though, eh?

I just temp around since im between college/education, I got my diploma in screen/3d graphics and animation, nobody hired me because they wanted people with 5+ years of experience (back when toy story 2 / monsters inc came out, so 3d was still new) - basically everyone wanted people from pixar. Gave up on it and decided to just do what I did best, data entry.

Data entry is probably the most easiest job i've ever had, the last one I had was a 4 week turn 2 month contract, which was basically browse BG/KI on a widescreen monitor for 70% of the time, and work 30% of the time, and this included 1hour lunchbreaks.

Boo I wanna go back to it :\ so easy, lol. The only downside to data entry, unlike most other jobs there's no real progression, you can't move up that much, so that's why I'm going to USA this year to see if I can get back to college/university, and see if I can do theater or 3d again. I still like 3d, but I'm confident what I learned back in my days of college have become outdated since this industry moves too fast.

Its somewhat different than my degrees that I got. (Chemistry from Hopkins and MPH from University of Michigan)

I managed to snag a contract at the national research center as a researcher on 3D interaction techniques during my master's

Basically I do experiments on virtual worlds to determine how to improve or quantify the current techniques used to interact with the system

Not a dream job, but the experience I get should get me a spot in the gaming industry, which is what ive been aiming at for the last 8 years of school <.<

I got a job at Gamestop the day I turned 16 I think. I had been begging the manager for aj ob and he said when I was old enough he'd give me it, and he did.

That job fucking SUCKED. We weren't allowed to play on the demos, I worked in a low volume store, so there was never anything to do, we weren't allowed to sit down ever, and it was just soooooooooooo terrible. Then I moved to the mall store and it was more fun, because there were alot more people coming in, but everyone that worked there was depressed and on pills and fucking crazy. Plus, Gamestop itself is like...stressful. We HAD to meet quota on selling magazines and reserves or we got into a ton of trouble, because it reflected poorly on our boss or some shit. It suuuucked. I'd never go back.

It's a warehouse that delivers stuff to places. Anything you can find in a seven eleven and then some, we probably ship to them if they are in our region. Grocery stores, gas stations, convenience markets hell we even shit stuff to jail. I work the night shift. I check drivers in and make sure money and truck are straight etc etc. I drive the forklifts, cherry-pickers, and lift truck around the ware house. I am in a position where I tell everyone except my boss, what to do. If they don't like it, they know where the door is. I hate my job with a passion, granted they pay me ok now, it is the people. About 95% of my co-workers are about as sharp as a bowling ball.
It's no wonder really that withing my first year of being there I was making more than most of them, after starting at the bottom of the rung. I've been there three years now and I am well above the people who have been there eight years.
Did I mention I hate my job? I've had many jobs in the past. Worked at a gas station, Toy 'R Us, A non-profit org called clean water action, Electronic Boutique, a programmer for a software company that made games that actually sold and that would be it.
A job is a job, and if I liked mine, I guess it would be a hobby. I'd like a desk job badly.

    I work here ---> http://www.arlingtonschools.org as a middle school teacher. Not a bad job but I don't think I'm a lifer.

My dream job is moving up in the district to be a technology integration specialist in curriculum. Pretty much hemmoraging money to let kids be exposed to the newest stuff, and making sure it fits into their educational experience in a meaningful way. That's the Master's I'm just about done with, which is Curriculum Design and Instructional Technology. (aka: How to take the same class with a different name 20 times and pay for it)

I've done all sorts of weird stuff before this job though. I was a Copy Center Associate at Staples (which was the 5th layer of hell), I did data entry at Fleet Libris, which is now Bank of America, where they do all the tax stuff for the state. Was weird because A> my mom works there, and B> I was substituting during the day from 7-3:30 and working there from 5:30 to 10pm. I don't remember much about it other than I could listen to headphones and nobody gave you any shit if you did your work and weren't an asspain. Got incentive for typing fast too.

I also worked at a Convenience store. I am very happy with the job that I have after all that crap!

I work at a real estate company scanning papers into a database system. Like Lordwafik's data entry job, I pretty much work ~30% of the time, browse internet, watch anime, etc, ~70% of the time. I take around 2 hour lunchbreaks though since a lot of other people do.

I'm just doing this job to get ready for student loans next semester. ;/ More money I have before school, less I have to pay back in the future.

My there was awesome. Imagine Randal Graves working at EB, the only exception being, I showed up to work on time, and actually talked and had discussions with customers who knew their shit. I was quite the asshole. Banned people from store etc. I worked at both a mall and a standalone store. I remember my boss was so awesome. People would piss me off and I'd be a dick back, they'd ask "Can I see the manager please?" and I'd reply, "I AM THE MANAGER". Everytime I did that while my manager was around, he and hold back his laughter.
It sounds like we were asshole, but fuck that customer is always right bullshit. We were really fucking nice, but if you were an ass, you got treated like an ass.

ROFL You know something Tonko? Had I been given a guess at what you did it would be along the lines of you doing porn or sex related materials, in a joking manner though I must admit lol. Now THAT is funny, what are the odds of such a random and aimless guess being not that far off base.

Isiolia can you do us all a favor and erase Michael and Marcus Vick the entire VT database so we all can pretend neither of them exist? Speaking of which, can we add some of those pesky"they received money from the Boosters charges"? I'd like to get a few of those scholarships for the next 10 years yanked plz. I greatly dislike the Hokies, not you though! Just the Hokies football team k?

Edit: Can I add Deangelo Hall to that list also plz? thx.
