Seno, you can still get that "You can be anything you want to be when you grow up" speech lol. Man at 17 if you have nothing else, you have time. Most people have no idea what they want to be at that age other than Michael Jordan or Tony Hawk or some shit lol. I say go for it.

Honostly I have a rather good idea of were I am going. Sence the age of 3 I have been absolutly in love with video games, even to this day. If I dont get a job making them I will suck it up and get a job testing them honostly I dont care. I just want something to do with them, its been my entire life not going to waste it :3 Tho your prob right, I will most likly get a bum rap job at the local home depot smoking a bowl in the bathroom on my lunch break making 7.00$ an hour spending all of my money ON video games, and pot [of corse.] :[

As much as I love video games, I have come to the decision that I don't want to work with them. I feel like having a video game related job, and then coming home and playing them will get boring and I would end up hating them that way. I don't want that to happen, so I'm not doing that. ._.

No worries you're still in good shape. Like I said you have PLENTY of time to do whatever it is that you choose to do. Think of how many people go to school that is totally unrelated to anything they do in RL lol. Go through 4 years of college to get a degree in Communications or Physical Education and end up working at Bestbuy wtf?

Some guy was being a dickface to me once, he asked if we had some racing game, and then said nevermind because I didn't know anything about some racing game because I was a girl, and I got SO pissed off. My manager heard and like yelled at ME to go into the back room before I said anything back to the guy, cause yeah, the customers are always fucking right.

Currently going for my RVT (Vet. Nurse everywhere else) status, which then I'm wanting to work for the city's zoo, mostly surgeries. Would've gone for RN, but I'm not a people person.

QA Team lead at a Software company.. 7 months out of college.. making 55/year+bonus.

Worked at CVS before attending College... worst workplace ever... FUCK retail. I cannot handle dealing with stupid people. No fucking clue how I lasted there for 2 years without getting fired.... Best part was... 1 month after I quit like the entire staff got fired at once because of the rampant theft LAWL... all that was left was like this one girl and the assistant manager... was kinda amusing hearing about it. Pretty sure I would have gotten fired hahaha.

More specifically, the Department of Child Support Services. The people and benefits are great, but the work just blows (I work in the Technology Services Division, but I'm an OT(office tech), or more specifically, an OB(office bitch)) Its a cool start though, being 21 and all, but damn wish the State would just open up the IT tests (the State hires people on lists that you have to test for) and actually put my Assoc. to work.

Dream job, move into the IT as a System Admin or Assistant System Admin. And for people that hear rumors about the State bout people being idiots here, yeah they're true XD since the only way you can get fired from a State job is to either kill someone, or get caught stealing office supplies (which is actually a common occurance here >_>;;;).
