I find it kinda funny. I live in San Diego and there was huge huge hometown hype for the Chargers and all of SD (yo) is just feeling oh so disappointed now. Ah well.
It was more of a shank than a choke.
it wasn't a shank...to be a shank, a kick has to be long enough to be good if on target. Also, one does not normally label a missed kick a shank if the kick is a particularly difficult one. For instance, if Beckham (hey, I'm being topical!) missed a PK wide, that would be considered a shank. If he missed a 40 yard free kick wide, that would just be a missed kick, because as wonderful a set kicker he is, it's just plain silly to expect that he'll kick a soccer ball 40 yards on target every time. The attempt was 54 yards, which I don't have the statistics on hand, but I believe the success rate league wide on that length of kick is probably ~60ish percent or less. Therefore, it wasn't a shank, and the kicker certainly didn't lose the game.

Lines already out for next weeks games, and lol, they are already shifting. Well, the bears/saints at least.

Bears opned as a 3 point favorite, and a shit ton of ppl layed down on the saints, went down to a one point favorite now. Heres the lines and shifts.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

But then I went home to CT last week to visit the fam, and it was all over the news how the chargers (well not chargers but the people incharge of the chargers) were only going to sell tickets to SD residents for the game against the pats. NE peeps were furious lol, I was mad too. I think both teams should get to have their fans there not just the chargers.

    To sum it up:

I feel a huge inbalance of men vs women in this orgy scenario. I am both minutely worried, yet midly turned on by this concept.

I am 7/8 on the games so far, and the 1 game I lost was the fucking cowboys shit.

I will never understand why, but everyone ALWAYS bets against the patriots, yet they have proven time and time again they can and will win the big games.
Tyche, if the patriots "got lucky" and won a few games, I could see your argument, but winning 12/13 or w/e it is now and then claiming most of it is luck is ludicrous.

Well it does involve the filling of more than one orafice at one time, or someone is watching on the sidelines.

    BEAR DOWN, CHICAGO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys have no idea how wonderful it was to be at that game. As soon as that field goal sailed through the uprights, it felt as if Soldier Field was going to crumble to the ground.

What a spectacular game that was boring only for a little bit during the third quarter.

The Bears are going to face their toughest opponent yet against the Saints. The defense CANNOT play like they played against the Seahawks. If the Bears want to stand a chance, the defense MUST play like they did at the beginning of the season. Most of the injured players are back so that defense better get to work. As long as Grossman doesn't do anything stupid, I think there as at least a chance for a Bears victory.

    Any given Sunday

P.S. I hope it's cold for those Saints.

    So next week,

Indy v. NE, Philly v. Bears?

(i'm still in denial that the eagles lost)

I can't wait to see Indy v. NE -- remember the Pats' second superbowl run, the aggressive play by Ty Law & Samuel (i think he was the #2 back then, or maybe I'm forgetting the #2's name) on Harrison brought about the new 5-yd no hands rule? Then the next year, quarterbacks went berzerk? (Manning & Culpepper setting records). I love this rivalry.

I really hoped the Chargers would have won, but to be honest, I'd rather see Indianapolis in the superbowl, and I think they have a better shot winning at home v. the pats than on the road v. SD.

And Philly's going to win the SB, spurring the exponential increase of "Will Garcia be replacing McNabb?" debate. Upon which point I will light molotov cocktails and attack those partaking in said debate.

Wow, Bears offense isn't looking like anything special, but they are stopping the Saints, and are getting turnovers.

Funny, the secondary was about 2 feet on his heels, and by the time he crossed the 50, they were about 10 feet back. Kid got some fucking wheels.
