I watched the NE/NY game yesterday but had to drive back to school during the second game that was on...did anything noteworthy happen in it other than Philly winning? (I think they won atleast lol)

I'd rather read cliffnotes from friends than read ESPN. My bad?
Can't wait, should be some great football.Next weekends match ups:
Saturday
Indianapolis @ Baltimore - 4:30ET CBS
Philadelphia @ New Orleans - 8:00ET FOX
Sunday
Seattle @ Chicago - 1:00ET FOX
New England @ San Diego - 4:30ET CBS
Colts over Baltimore
New Orleans over Philly
Chicago over Seattle
San Diego over New England
I'm pissed, gonna be flying back to Colorado during the Chicago-Seattle gameWas reading the Seattle Times this morning, a few articles about how the Seahawks are going to be huge cometition for the Bears because they are the luckiest team in football... was kind of funny. I'm not saying they suck, but it was kind of funny they focused on that as one of their biggest strengths.
Aaaaaah I think my post got deleted
Anyways
Colts
Eagles
Bears
Chargers
I don't feel like writing out my reasoning again.
Colt Eagles Bears Chargers, everyone knows it already!
Ravens are going to beat the Colts... Peyton had trouble with the Chiefs defense. The Chiefs. The Ravens defense can and will embarass him and Peyton will exit the playoffs looking like a fool, just like every year.
Ahh.. post deletion ftl.
Colts
Chargers
Saints
Bears (this of course depending on which QB shows up to play)
All four home teams/favorites won last weekend, which is unusual enough, but I think it'll happen again this week.
Picking the Ravens, Chargers, Bears & Saints.
Most likely to pull an upset, in order... Eagles>Patriots>Colts>Seahawks
I'm required by the law of living near Philly to ignore petty details like reality, quality of teams, etc.
I also don't care much for football, so the finer details don't matter worth a damn.
Eagles, gooo!
Ravens are overrated, and peyton had ONE bad game (but he was still 30/38ish). He won't make the same mistakes againOriginally Posted by Anyway
If by overrated you mean best defense in the league, then okay. Their offense is spotty though. No arguing that. But you also don't need much to beat the Colts defense...Originally Posted by Demosthenes11

Claro.
I'd love to see Chargers v. Colts in the semifinals...remember last year, the Chargers broke the Colt's undefeated season? The Colts couldn't stop Michael Turner for the life of them.
I had a thing similar to my first post for the Division matches but the post was erased, so I'll just do what everyone else is doing with shortened opinions.
Colts vs. Ravens - Ravens = crazy blitz defensive but Colts offensive line is awesome and offense is stronger than Ravens. I go with Colts.
Pats vs. Chargers - Chargers offense is stronger than Pats, and both are good defense. Picking Chargers win in a very very close game.
Bears vs. Seahawks - Good Grossman shows up, then the Seahawks will get plowed in to the ground like earlier in the season. Their defense has many injuries and the good Grossman is known to completely torch the secondaries of opposing teams. Bad Grossman shows up, then Seattle will gain the majority of their points off INT TD returns and win the game.
Eagles vs. Saints - the Eagles had a tough a time against the terrible defense of the Giants and with the Saints they face a defense twice as tough. Garcia is good, but not perfect. The highly superior Saints offense and defense will take the Eagles to town.
about the Colts v. Ravens -- Colts don't have an "awesome" defensive line. If anything, they're undersized. However, Freeney v. Ogden has always been a fun matchup to watch, and one of the only defensive linemen that makes Ogden look less Hall-of-Fame caliber.Originally Posted by Daahan
And umm...how is the Saints defense "highly superior" to that of the Eagles? The Eagles will be without Lito Sheppard, true, but they're playing with much more intensity than they did mid-season.
Well I'm one to like to look up information and such. I just dug up Eagles/Saints comparisons. I know the Eagles have played with more intensity, but lets compare the numbers.
Eagles:
Pass Defense: 26th
Rush Defense: 9th
Total Yards/Game: 15th
Saints:
Pass Defense: 23rd
Rush Defense: 3rd
Total Yards/Game: 11th
So as far as running the ball, there may be limited running between the two teams and taking Westbrook out of the game may be the key to stop the Eagles sudden charge of winning and what not. He has been their team MVP to me other than Garcia who's played very well as a backup. Also, the Eagles are 11th ranked running the ball and the Saints are 19th.
Pass defense, both are relatively weak to the pass. That's good for both teams as the Eagles are the 3rd ranked Pass Offense in the league and the Saints are the 1st ranked. Could be a ton of passing yards between the teams in this game.. very fun to watch especially when Drew Brees is on and he's been on just about the entire season.
Overall offense wise.. which is amazing, the Eagles are #2 and the Saints are #1.. which is surprising when I first looked at it.
So as we look at this, the Eagles do have the weaker defense, offense wise both the Saints/Eagles are pretty even. It may come down to the special teams again like in New York, never know!
That's what it came down to in the eagles vs saints the first game they played anyways, and I see it being no different. So as we look at this, the Eagles do have the weaker defense, offense wise both the Saints/Eagles are pretty even. whoops, sorry I meant the Colts have an awesome Offensive LineOriginally Posted by Tyr
BUT THE LOGIC SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE TYR, SINCE OBVIOUSLY THERE CAN BE NO RAVENS BLITZ AGAINST A COLTS DEFENSIVE LINE. GOOD JOB NOT STAYING ON THE BALL.
You have the Eagles number's mixed up lol. How can the Eagles be sending 2 out of starting 4 DBs to the Pro bowl with a 26th rated Pass defense, lol?Originally Posted by Akiyama
Saints have two very good RBs and i can see this being a close one between bush/mcallister vs westbrook. I see this being a higher scoring game where the winner is the team with the better running game.
edit. Also you acted as if the Eagles high offensive rating didnt have a lot to do with Donovan Mcnabb who was getting MVP talks during the beginning of the season.
