Funniest thing you have seen/done in Vana'diel

Funniest thing I have seen was during competition camping between my former-former LS vs a JP LS, who notoriously camps NMs during NA time (Hinty's LS on Kujata), for Xolotl. Moments before night time, their RDM was buffing his PT and converted. Unfortunately for his ass, he forgot about the poison bushes and died. . . Lulz

Pretty much what subject says, what's the funniest thing you have seen or done in Vana'diel. Name a few if you have some good stories.

It was getting pretty late in JP time, I completely forget the PT setup, this was back when my RDM was only 60ish, so a good 2 years ago.

Well our horrible horrible HORRIBLE WHM JP Taru (awww so cute right) decided to fall asleep on us. Well the party was pretty much going to an end anyway, so our PLD voked a Dhamal, THF SATA'd the WHM and BLM D2'd all of us. GOOD fun.

Since I wanted 5-2 SOOOO bad, I had my RL friend Eriu and Lokimika gather some people to help me with Shadow Lord. Sunshine, this kick ass Galka Samurai was quitting that day, so this was his last event.

We all made it to SL just fine, starting fighting yadda yadda yadda.

I didn't know WTF to do, I was just a lonley RDM, so i'm like ALRIGHT THUNDER!!! Right when his first form was about to die the screen goes black. When it loads back up...i'm in Jeuno. Now at this point I thought we beat it, but everyone else was still in the castle. All I get was a /tell from my buddy "Dude...why did you warp?"

back in my first 3-4 days of FFXI (like 3 years ago or more) I killed a bunny in West Ronfaure that droped some Stupid neckgear that was rare. At first I thaught oh "rare". But then I noticed I couldnt equip it on my noob war and it was for THFs only. And since I was so noob and didnt know how to work the AH, I thaught I drop it, because my inventory space was allways getting soooo full (Auto-sort, wtf is that? ._., my first MMORPG) so .... I droped it and then some days later I noticed what I did, when I learned where the AH was and how it worked

Super re-railing, Batman!

A RDM in one of my first social LSes was in Bibiki Bay cracking Efts with a Staff for skill ups. We listened to him complain about how it wouldn't go up for about an hour before we told him RDM doesn't have Staff skill. :D

There was also sky farming fun. Walked into Veggie Palace and see RMT trying to pop SC. It pops and we grabbed it. I've never been checked and slapped so many times.

P.S. Is there ever a bad time for bunnies?

When I first started playing, my LS told me that story.

"Finally two 75s came out to kill it, and died! Two! Can you imagine a mob that two 75s couldn't kill?"

We were all so new back then.

Get invited to a PT in Qufim. I'm just messing around with my DRK, potting worms with a crossbow for exp.

Two warriors, a WHM, a THF, and a SAM. Nice bunch, I think. The WHM,THF, and SAM are all great.

The leader DC's every two minutes. That's WAR #1. The other WAR will only provoke when told in autotranslator, and doesn't speak AT ALL. Nor will he provoke more than once per mob. We're thinking RMidioT.

(Hint, if you're on Ragnarok, Cababy is not an ideal PT member. That is, if he lives long enough to see 22.)

The other members of the PT, save disconnect WAR (not his fault) decide it's time to be rid of Cababy. He just DC's and doesn't come back.

{Provoke} {Please}. Of course.

Party proceeds to disengage as Cababy bravely solos the monster to death. His. We then massacre the thing, the THF levels, says "Time to go"...oops, we give him the PT lead as he disbands. Sadly, someone pity Raises Cababy about a half hour later.

But in five minutes, we have an awesome MNK/WAR for a new tank, get an RDM to replace disconnectgawar and everyone gets a level+ in experience till it's time to go.

I read this topic and thought to myself "Hey I made a thread about that"....and so it is.

A funny thing that happens quite often that is always funny as hell. If someone gets raised and the second they come up they get slammed with an AOE and go right back down.

God damn it ;/ I just did Sandy 7-2(the Orc in Ronfaure) and it would have been perfect with the whole Feast of Swords..... ahhh, I might regret this for the rest of my FFXI career lol. Then again, I probably would have been perma-banned... So now I bet everyone regrets me not doing it

I left my WHM at level 42, but I think its time to go back and do my AF weapon...
