    Originally Undocumented Commands

    • game_fillmode 0/1/2 - Modifies the games rendering mode. (0=normal, 1=wireframe, 2=point fill)
      fillmode 0/1/2

      window_toggleframe 0/1 - Toggles the window border. (0=no border, 1=border)

      * window_togglefullscreen 0/1 - Toggles the window style. (0=window, 1=fullscreen)
      fullscreen 0/1

      * Please note this command does not fully work. The game cannot currently be pulled out of fullscreen.

    oh wow.. the wireframe is sorta like wall seethrough >_>. I can see mobs in the other rooms and target them and see through shit. Give an interesting look to ffxi too. I could see wireframe dynamis's going on haha.

    there was a wireframe mode in counter-strike back when I used to play in leagues and people got banned if they used it

    I hope the windower devs patch and block it off, we dont need this sort of shit making SE want to really try hard to stop windower usage

    QFT. As much as SE hates "third party" programs I think they tolerate the windower more then they would like to admit. But if people start abusing the windower tool it will become more of a concern for SE to attempt to cockblock the windower. Yes Ive heard the argument they cant detect or do anything about the windower, but Im sure they can think fo clever ways to combat it.

    I remember when windowers first had wireframe in and then they almost immediately(sp) took it out; I forget the reason the creator gave but I'd guesstimate it to something like it being too exploitive and what not. Like sono said, hope this get's blocked off cause I don't wanna give SE another reason to fuck with windowers and making this game permanetly fullscreen.

    The japanese windower has had wireframe for quite a while though.

    I think on that last few weeks dry spell where nobody updated windower last year or so, a friend of mine gave me the japanese based windower, it lacks the plugin, but it has some cool graphic effect like wireframe and one that takes out the skin from the models.

    The wireframe was kinda neat but hardly seem abusive...I don't see any possible exploit, but maybe I'm just not thinking hard enough.

    Wireframe can get pretty abusive for a couple things I think...

    1 good example is Bhaflau Remnants 2nd Floor. People have issues figuring out where the Rampart pops after killing the 4 Flans and don't know whether to choose the East or West Path (Rampart pops in one of 4 rooms I think? Something like that). With Wire Frame, you could simply look past the door and look for it (it will be within the 50' mark) before opening the door.

    May be able to catch which path on first floor has the Mad Bomber NM as well. I'm not sure if that's even in range to see though.

    mobs don't pop before picking a door , so that won't work.

    Before the windower was super popular, I used a JP Windower with wireframe mode way back when. I only used it for searching for coffers, checking certain NMs (like the ones in Castle Zvahl Bailey's), as well as people fighting coffer monsters there. I thought it was hella useful. But I then as I XPed more and hit 75, I realized I couldn't live without distance plugin and TParty which made counting TP helluvalot easier (for SC partner when I was DRG). Those were the days, lol.

    Anything that wireframe mode can accomplish, third party cheat tools, like app, just do it better.

    Wireframe doesnt exactly do anything exploitive, you can still target mobs through walls without wireframing, it just makes it so you dont need to fuck with the camera to do it.

    Ok, I'm sure some of you know who I am. Yes I am Wiccaan from the Windower forums. I have just now registered on these forums as I never come here. To me, its just another drama fest that I avoid...

    Anyway, someone pointed me to this thread last night as they just found out about these commands. And from what I have seen posted here, I needed to comment on a few things to clear some stuff up.

    This is probably the main thing that drew me to wanting to post. The average computer user today knows how to debug a process and see what is going on inside of it. If you debug the windower while it is running, you can find all these commands via that. They have been in the Windower for some time now, just not documented.

    The JP Windower added it after they had gotten the source from Azaril when he posted it publicly and they made their own from that. Its been in their windower since they released it. This doesn't give you any stand over other players as this isn't a first person shooter game so it doesn't matter if you can see others through the walls.

    The collision detection and such are all there still. So its not like its giving you the ability to walk through them.

    The windower has been around for over 4 years. SE has had plenty of time to "cock-block" the windower if they chose to. Yet, nothing has happened yet. I don't see this one command being the cause of windower being killed. And I dont see SE doing much to stop anything in the future either.

    Same as I said above. SE isn't going to do anything probably as it doesn't give you the ability to do anything extra except target something through the wall. Which you can already do anyway by moving your camera while you are against a wall a certain way. This just makes that easier.

    The Japanese windower would not be around if Azaril didn't release the source code to his back during version 2.1. Their Windower is based off his old code.

    As I just said above, the JP Windower came after Azaril's Windower because he released the source code. The ability in Azarils windower to do the wire frame mode was there, just not public. It was kept hidden due to Cliff and such seeing it as an issue. After talking with Cliff for 3 hours, he gave me the ok to release the command to public. Hence why I posted it on the forums for everyone along with the other redone documentation.



    Anyway, from the feedback we are getting with this command being public.. we might just remove it from public again next release. It does not give the user any gain in using it aside from targeting through walls, which in this game is nothing special. This game is not a first person shooter as I already said so it doesn't matter if you can see other mobs and players.

    The main thing people are failing to see though is the command has been there from day 1 pretty much. It was just not publicly documented. So the windower had the ability to do it the whole time. As I said about debugging. I'm sure SE would have seen it if they actually looked at the windower to attempt to block it.

    You know what.. heres a screenshot of it in a debugger to make what I'm saying even more clear for everyone:

    In the last few versions, the console command, fillmode has been in place and has been usable by anyone. It's not like it was never there before and was just added last night or something.

    Anyway, hope that clears some stuff up. I probably wont be back here to post or to check anything on here unless someone points me to it for a certain reason.

    ya I had a convo with coz on the wireframe thing several months back. it doesn't help anything, it doesn't take away drawing steps, it actually adds steps to make it go to wireframe. JP think it helps them for w/e reason, but it has 0 benefit.

    just leave it in, wireframe ffxi has been available all year from the JP windower as people already know and it's done nothing to affect the game.
