I've kinda liked the recent Polls, with the exception of the "Wash your Hands" one, which just seemed out of place with the theme the others were going for.

It was nice taking the Batman v. Superman poll and putting it into a /nominate in the Aery last night. People were actually participating and having a nice nerdy discussion about the two superheros and it was a much more enthralling experience than going AFK for 25 minutes every 30.

Honestly I've had no problem with the polls, stupid polls I ignore, others I follow/vote/respond. Although some people spamming topics with inside jokes that go on for 4-6 pages in a few hours does get on my nerves sometimes.

I have talked to modzilla (sonomaa). Once he finds the proper forum modifications (aka a forum without adding to post count) we may get a spam forum, where the shitty polls will go. People who want them can go there, people who only want good discussion can stay out of it. Its a win/win situation.

Yeah both sigs are jokes, but the first one is somewhat of an inside joke. I think mods/admins get it the most.

Inside jokes are the most fun because they confuse the hell out of other people who don't get them. Everyone has them on here they are not exclusive to us.

I was talking about the "lolFFXI" and your sig with Russta in it. Hoe checking Rocl is certainly BG-related FFXI goodness. I don't quite see how those two parts are "inside jokes" but only see them as you making fun of FFXI. It's a game enjoyed by the majority of posters here. I thought the split happened so WoW had their forum and FFXI theirs. This is the FFXI side last I checked, don't see the point in mocking this game in front of us.

Admins will decide if a sig is not appropriate and actions will be taken. If you see a sig for more than a few days, its not a problem.

I do not mind the polls that actually have valid topics in them, but I was sick of seeing it develop into a new trend where every other topic is a poll. Valid polls and discussions have no problem, stupid polls are going to get locked an actions taken.

Have to say I felt the polls were coming a little too thick and fast. A spam forum that doesn't add to post count sounds like an excellent solution so we can poll and quote train to our heart's content. I'd personally add a Drama section for tons of petty flaming too. That way the Advanced and Newbie discussions are actually specifically about the game mechanics and strategy.
