I thought she was going to cut herself...but stabbing him made more sense and was much cooler. That being said, you'd think the secret service agents (or whoever the escort was) would have been paying closer attention to the loony woman with a knife D:

why does watching 24 feel like watching fear factor or something now

I so knew she would stab him, when they zoomed in on that plate with the knife on it. I was all like, wait for it!

This is EXACTLY what I thought.

As for the episode itself, they're starting to feel very contentless. Yes, there are advances, but this should happen in about 20-30 minutes, not in an hour. Every episode being this drawn out is getting sort of bleh (Jack's superhero adventures are getting sort of boring, too... this is actually the least Jack-filled episode I think I've ever seen in 24). =\ However, seeing Martha was refreshing... she, for some strange reason, seemed oddly attractive in her unstable state and old age. Ah well, lets hope it gets a bit better next week... I can definitely see the demise of this series in season 7/8 after the movie comes out... starting to lose it's flare.

As for this episode, I actually really liked it, thought it was pretty good. Lot of action and intrigue imo.

WB 24! Now that was a typical 24 episode that I'm used to seeing.

Holy fuck @ Audrey dying... that was hard to take. Did The Nine really fuck her relationship up with the producers of 24 enough for them to kill her off? I thought for a moment that when Jack asked for the death file, he'd see something in the crime scene photos that would lead him to believe that the corpse was falsely identified, but once I saw the watch/ID, I was in super QQ mode.

Can't wait for next week, though.

I have to admit though, I was disappointed they're pulling the mole card again. This is like the fifth or sixth time they've done it, and it's oldddddd.

it's obvious palmer is gonna wake up and call it off next episode, but i really wanna see somebody recite "thomas jefferson once shot a man on the white house balcony for treason" then put a bullet between his eyes

Nobody dies normal people deaths in 24. I wonder if they didn't trade Audrey Raines to the Chinese to get Jack back and cover it up with the car crash report.
On the one hand it would be pretty difficult to get the approval/clearance, but on the other, it may be something she'd volunteer for to save Jack.

Hmm, interesting spin, Elmer. Either way, we have like 5+ months to speculate plot for season 7 (which is obviously going to go back to old school 24 and be about Jack and his close people instead of national crisises. This whole World vs CTU/Jack with special guest referee CTU Mole isn't working).

Because the VP is behind the assassination attempt. I think its pretty clear hes working inconjunction w/ a large group of people to start a war, even though the staff guy said the VP had no involvement. The VP and his lackies def. have the whole "war on the middle east at all costs" agenda going on anyway.

In 24, nobody is ever really dead until their body is laying at Jacks feet. It'd be really easy for them to just toss in the whole "cover-up" that the pictures/DNA test were all faked.

Why? it "hopefully" means Jack is gonna be visiting China next season. Plus it means we won't have to watch her be kidnapped, that got old after Kim managed to get nabbed every scene she was in during season 1 and 2.
