This kind of shit makes me continue to wonder why the hell people don't just go get a buffer. Capped exp beats switching to merits when you're 400 into 75 and losing your level (and job-specific merits) every time you die.

oh yea, i had a pt on smn a couple days ago (i wasnt even seeking and got a /tell asking to come pt).

gotl ike 12k/hr on greater colibri, smn owns there cuz they reflect sleep so avatar can tank colibri adds, and easily do 1k damaage per pact (also fenrir acc bonus is great while eating mithkabobs if u cant get a brd- and the eva helps the nin for pecking if its crappy moon)

SMN works fine everywhere as healer/supporter for "TP burn" parties and can add some damage here and there, the problem is that 95% of Summoners out there levelled the job just to get into a HNMLS, don't like to use it and don't have a fk'in clue about how to play it properly, aside from the few basic stuff they do on Vrtra and Tiamat once a month.

No, everyone just has a mindset that if they invite me I do nothing but spam Earthen Ward/Ecliptic Howl and damage is taboo. Main healing is rare since peope lack faith in a SMN for healing half the time. -.- I just do ENMs and solo for exp now, I don't really care for parties anymore. Too high a risk of having a super retard in the party (And my LS is all lolSMN so they never invite me ;<)

i can't imagine anyone not eventually using a full buffer eventually, therefore it makes no sense not to take the 4hrs to cap it (or within a day if you're finding it harder to get good pts), that way you are at your max efficiency for as long as possible assuming you somehow don't notice your buffer is gone and get it up again.

you'd have to be really useless never to pull hate or go close enough to a mob to get some incidental damage that you wouldn't ever die, so no-one can excuse themselves by saying 'but i didn't know i would die'.

Just fucking home point... You can get 10k/hr easy at 75 on just about any job. Nothing pisses me off more then people whom ask for stupid/pointless raises because they kill themselves.

The time it takes for me to walk to someone, and raise them, they could have gotten more exp in a party then raise III will save them.

We got 20k/h with pld and another leech in pt at new camp. Can have a smn leech for sure and get more than decent xp. 2smn should be able to duo imp easily on the new island too, I'm sure they can pull a 6-7k/h

I love how people think that their time (which should be spent getting a decent buffer) is more valuable than someone else's time (which would be spent dragging ass from what appears to be Xarcabard, all the way to the Mire or wherever the corpse was located).

When I party on WHM, I use the following search comment:

do not ask. Thank you.

To date, the only person to ask me anyway was a SMN (hmm, maybe there's a pattern...) that had gotten him/herself killed while soloing. Considering he/she/it has a reputation of forming fake linkshells and stealing loot, I'm not surprised her reading comprehension sucked.

I used to tell dead people to ask my party leader so I wouldn't be blamed for slowing things down, but I eventually learned that they were saying, "Yo, Ren wants to Raise me. Stop being a dick and let him, ok?"

The best thing is Clyde, you obviously know that as soon as you raise him/her/it , they'll get their 600xp back and auto-switch to merit mode.

u dont know how many times ive had this arguement with people about those "4 merits" im like you're bitching over 44k when you'' be really bitching during a fight and spam the ls with "R3 PLZ IM GONNA DELVL" goddamn i cant stand that shit lol. i take R1 on all my jobs, I use rr1 on blm usually nvr have a pin but usually a rr scroll just to show those who talk about the 44k thats having that exp helps out your ls during an event cuz u dont stay dead cuz no1 will r3 cuz they need the mp to cure lol.

you dont NEED 44k xp to have a buffer if you're half intelligent (and 99% of players arent half intelligent). 10k should cut it np. thats one merit. And those who think its a problem need to remember one very simple fact:

I feel naked without capped buffers I even got my bst a capped buffer and that thing never sees the sunlight.

Once I was of the mindset "capping buffer? lolz, that's liek four meritz man!" too.
Then I once delevelled out of homam and was mocked by all.

Now perma-xp mode onry, if you die you'll cap it back before ever noticing, even while doing random crap. Assaults or farming has gotten me back to cap so easily so many times. :3
