Because Savagery "TP bonus" for Warcry works like the bonus on Martial Weapons, so you aren't going to see anything aside from a bit more damage, depending on which WS your Warrior is using and it's certainly more noticeable with stuff like Spirit's Within and Steel Cyclone than on the classic spammed Rampage.

    for Kaylia:

I've always thought that the Savagery trait was what triggered the "TP bonus" effect in combination with any Warcry, so you aren't going to give your party anything unless they're War 75 with Savagery unlocked but you might benefit from other people's Warcries. I could be wrong though, needs more testing! (ohshi, I'm turning into genome).

Wait so Savegery doesn't give you TP just helps your WS? So confused x.x

You know how a Martial Weapon, such as a Hagun, adds the effect of having 100 TP to your WS? Like, if you WS with 100 TP, it scales up to have the effect of a 200 TP WS?

Savagery is like that. For every upgrade, you get +10 TP bonus. IE: If you WS with 100 TP and have two Savagery upgrades, it scales up to the effect of having 120 TP WS.

So it doesn't really do much, but then again neither does Warrior's Charge. Tomahawk really was the best new merit ability we got.

Savagry is only useful if you're WSing at 190(170 capped) TP, which you shouldn't be anyways. The only time I see it useful is at HNM when you don't quite get 200 TP on a TP mob.

I can't remember the source, but I thought martial weapons were +50% TP, so WS at 100 = 150, so WSing at 134(lowest possible) means a 200 TP WS.

My setup is 4/4/2. I didn't feel like spending 10 merits for the final zerk/aggressor upgrades so I used 3 merits for Lv2 DA. I also have Warriors charge at Lv1 and planning to take that to Lv3 for 10 min recast. I've been thinking of unlocking Tomahawk after seeing how effective Dragoon using Angon is. Is there a chance of accidentally tossing Bomb Core if using Tomahawk? If so I don't think i'd risk that chance of unlocking the ability.

Tomahawk is a JA, not a ranged attack. You have to have a tomahawk equipped to use it. It's completely impossible to throw your core with Tomahawk. Oddly enough though if you lag a bit while swapping out the tomahawks for your core, you can go through the JA animation with a grenade instead of a throwing axe. <_<

Why haven't you read the previous posts. Tomahawk has nothing to do with Angon, their effects are completely different and its JA-like behaviour has been mentioned at least once in this thread.

Double Att Merits still effect your main weapon regardless of if you have a Ridill in your second hand.

Everytime I stack it with Warriors charge I will get either 16TP 80% of the time return of 20% 17TP using Rampage.

But still regardless, if your a Great Axe user for alot of HNM fights you can bet your ass that Double Att & Warriors charge is damn godly.

Also for those that didnt understand "Retrieving/C.D/Searain" comment on Tomahawk it basically makes the mob drop defense traits against certain weapons.

You cannot use the JA without equipping tomahawk in your range slot first. I remember stocking up on Merits before patch so I could try them all right after logging back on. I was confused about how savagery worked etc. In the first group I do 3/3/4 and second group I plan on doing 3WC 1Tomahawk and 2 Savagery, but I may just end up doing 2 tomahawk. I used to use it alot, it's a great hate tool. I remember being surprised when I pulled hate after using that JA at a god fight (if I can recall).

I'm 4/4/2, but only because I'm lazy like Miggy. I'll change it to 5/5/0 eventually.

About earrings.. I don't have a Suppanomimi because I'm a retard. So, I go Fowling/Assault for TP, and Fowling/Brutal for WS. I really see no point in Brutal for TP build if you're offhanding Ridill, like me.

If I'm not mistaken: over 100 attack rounds with Axe/Ridill, you'll end up with 310 swings on average with base DA or 315 swings with Brutal earring.

If that's how it works, and I think that's accurate, then I'll go with the Fowling or Assault over Brutal for TP gain. I'm an accuracy build + meat kinda guy though.

Hmm, brutal provides 5% DA apparently. But I doubt it will only proc on one hand. So that 315 seems wrong. I'd imagine 310 should be wrong too, seeing as that would mean you would do an average of 3 swings most of the time.

1 swing from Axe + 2 swings from Ridill = 3 swings average. Plus 2 DA merits makes the 310 sound pretty close to an average figure.

Yeah if you completely disregard the job trait. I think that for a figure like 100 attack rounds you can permit yourself to keep decimals and such.

What's the average rate of attack on a Ridill on a war with 4% DA?

    0.25 0.50 0.25?

I still think NINs should get the unique ability to throw anything in their inventory, from a ginger cookie to a stage 5 relic, and have it cause damage to a mob.

They could even introduce another relic weapon: the relic utensil. This one would require much less currency than regular relics, say total cost from start to finish of about 100 currency + attestation and fragment. The stage 5 version being no less than the Spoon, causing 9999 damage when thrown. Then its time to go upgrade another.
