    GM call:
I tossed my relic kunai(that would be a throwing katana of some sort) by accident!
    GM: hahahahaha.

I am currently 3/3/4 in my merits.

I am actually thinking of going 5/0/5. Because most of the time Aggressor just doesn't do anything. I don't do any gods or kings so there isn't much where Aggressor helps. I use meat for basically everything. In Mamook I actually found it best to save aggressor for high evasion mobs so I don't use aggressor merits there. Only place I would really miss aggressor is Mount Zhayolm trolls.

I have one merit in Warrior's Charge, it is such a joke I can almost never be bothered making a macro to use it. Once every 15 mins for nothing basically, and if you max it out you get one more double attack every 30 mins. Sad thing is this is probably second best.

I like tomahawk, it doesn't work that often. But when it works it WORKS. Will probably max this.

I just can't find a real use for Savagery

Aggressive Aim might be useful in a couple situations where you can't melee, like against Faust or Cronos. But that probably won't really make a difference.

Warrior's Charge 3 Tomahawk 3 seems to be best bet.

About earrings.. I don't have a Suppanomimi because I'm a retard. So, I go Fowling/Assault for TP, and Fowling/Brutal for WS. I really see no point in Brutal for TP build if you're offhanding Ridill, like me.

If I'm not mistaken: over 100 attack rounds with Axe/Ridill, you'll end up with 310 swings on average with base DA or 315 swings with Brutal earring.

If that's how it works, and I think that's accurate, then I'll go with the Fowling or Assault over Brutal for TP gain. I'm an accuracy build + meat kinda guy though.
Hmm, brutal provides 5% DA apparently. But I doubt it will only proc on one hand. So that 315 seems wrong. I'd imagine 310 should be wrong too, seeing as that would mean you would do an average of 3 swings most of the time.
1 swing from Axe + 2 swings from Ridill = 3 swings average. Plus 2 DA merits makes the 310 sound pretty close to an average figure.
Yeah if you completely disregard the job trait. I think that for a figure like 100 attack rounds you can permit yourself to keep decimals and such.

What's the average rate of attack on a Ridill on a war with 4% DA?

    0.25 0.50 0.25?
    I got 310 from 100 + 10(DA) axe swings and 200 Ridill swings. 315 would be from 100 axe + 15(DA+Brutal) and 200 Ridill.

Ridill basically averages 100% Double Attack. Some will argue 25/50/25 and some will say it's 33/33/33. In any case though, since Double Attack processes before multi-attack weapons do (see Searain's tests), the result will be no change in Ridill's overall attacks regardless of how much DA is added. Well, at least with those two attack distributions.

So, 5 more attacks per 100 rounds (something like 1.6% more attacks?) or 2 ACC and 5 ATK applied to 310 swings. The difference is likely very minor, but I prefer Assault Earring.

Aggressor does nothing and you use meat..seems like a silly statement...
A- weapon...do you have axe merits? Even if you did I don't see how aggressor does nothing eating meat...WAR can get a lot of accuracy in gear, but probably better off using haste and keeping aggressor up

I've had 5/5/0 basically since ToA came out(long before I got ridill) and I absolutely love it. Especially on HNMs/eating meat everywhere with only 271 skill in each weapon.

I may be wrong, but I thought tomahawk merits actually decreased the recast on it(as opposed to angon which increases the duration of the effect) so wouldn't 3 tomahawk merits be worth it if you're using it as a hate tool? I only upgraded it once so far. Took a sidetrack to cap HP/MP merits and Chivalry merits for pld.

This may be a silly question cause its something I never do for throwing type items..but if you swap same fire bomblet or bomb core for a tomahawk do you lose TP? WAR not quite 75 yet or I would find out myself D:

You can always swap your Ammo slot without losing TP. Bomb Core, Fire Bomblet, and Tomahawks are all Ammo so swap at will.

    CURSES! Too slow.

No, I don't lose TP when I switch out bomb core for tomahawk.

As for Warrior's Charge, anyone ever think that its not best put to use in meripo, but rather for the kinds of fights that you save TP for? You know, where you have DRKs and WARs opening up with 300TP Spinning Slash and Steel Cyclone and such.

One LS on my server that uses WAR/NIN to Tank faf/nid gets 300 TP and opens with Warriors Charge steel cyclone so in that respect its pretty handy

I have it setup on my first line of any macro for a WS.
It's been quite handy for me when popping gods in the past. I've done some impressive steel cyclones.

You don't need to but if you have the time to build TP before hand...why wouldn't you?

The reason people wouldnt bother is because theyre stupid and lazy, otherwise there's no reason not to drop that much damage in 1 shot unless you feel your sissy ass is gonna get face planted within the first 4 seconds of actually pulling hate.

    Done.
