And you like Mysterio which qualfies you as a dick riding faggot.
Has anyone tried 5ber/0agg/5DA? At least for a sushi user(which seems to be what 90% of wars I party with use), that seems like it would be more beneficial than +25 accuracy for 50 seconds in exp as far as parsing the highest. (assuming fully merited axes).
Of course, if you're dabbing into meat, using swords, or DDing HNMs (which a lot of wars here do) then I can definitely see why aggressor is such a big asset. But with things like adaberk(+15acc) and maneater latent(+5acc) you shouldn't really have problems hitting the 95% cap on accuracy at all in an exp party.
Again, strictly speaking from an exp party standpoint and parsing the highest and excluding the additional accuracy for HNMs, meat/sword users, wouldn't a fully merited axe + sushi user do better with 5ber/5DA? You still have aggressor for when a bard pulls a THF mob D: but for the other 95% of mobs pulled I'm just having trouble understanding the draw to a lower aggressor recast when main body peice + weapon already has way more accuracy than what I typically use on NIN with maxed katana merits.

I understand wanting to keep your timers kept while still building mostly for DA, but you'd seriously be alot better off with 4 DA 3 berserk 3 aggressor.
As I stated earlier, I've built for 5/5 B/A for forever and I love it, but I can understand people preferring DA too, but having an extra 10 seconds off of both berserk AND aggressor is worth only 4% DA rate and having a normal warcry recast.
If you're happy with your build though its your character.
At this point I would hate to erase them because I have so many other things I would like to merit and I merit very little anymore becauses I merit whored for about a month and got sick of it.Originally Posted by Dirian
Thank you for the advice ^.^
i'm still looking for those 5ber/0agg/5DA people (if there are any.) Keeping the timers together seems great and all but I'm still skeptical of the effectiveness of aggressor for a merited double axe sushi war.
Bolded the important part.Originally Posted by Damen

Well his post states "merited double axe" implying that they have axe merits, which is going to be greatly decreasing the need for sushi.Originally Posted by NynJa

Trick question. If you merited aggressor you'd find meat a lot more viable(at least I manage to eat meat pretty much everywhere with 271 skill and 38 acc), and the dmg increase from meat is going to be more than the 5% from DA. If I can swing meat with 271 skill, any warrior with 285 axes wielding man/jugg should fall down in disgrace if they sink to eating sushi in 90% of the merit camps out there.
Merited aggressor also rocks for HNMs.
Dirian speaks the truth
I have 277 axe/271 sword and with fully merited aggressor and +47 acc I can eat meat in pretty much any camp and have ~85% acc or above. Only time I have any trouble is thickets if we have a RDM who doesn't dispel properly or Puks are particularly annoying with flashga (which throws off acc % on the parser more than you'd think).
I dunno about 5/0/5. Maybe if as mentioned they plan to do strictly dual axe and sushi and have combat merits maxed from other jobs.... but definitely not for a main or 2nd job WAR who probably has a few combat merits to spare.
I find as Warrior if you have a bard whos using double minuet(for rng's in PT) It caps my attack out on puks or Mamool's(without using meat), so Sushi is clearly a better option.Originally Posted by Dirian
No use in using both Meat and Minuet in that scenario, the damage is nearly identical with double minuet as it is with double minuet + meat.
After re-reading this I guess you're referring to a general scenario, whereas I'm being more specific lol.
After re-reading yet again, I think I've managed to confuse myself lol
hmm. I'll always assume there is a bard present for at least 1x minuet, if not two bards for 2x minuet. Without making this a meat/sushi thread, the difference between meat and sushi for me on NIN with capped katana is like...nothing. maybe 1% at best. That being said, I always preferred using sushi since I have more fun with it. It also feels more 'consistant' especially in camps like North B. thickets. Having a job ability to boost accuracy for when using meat makes sense from a WAR perspective. It basically makes aggressor offensive again (whereas with sushi your accuracy would be capped more than likely.)Originally Posted by Mysterio
50 seconds shaved off aggressor/berserk each + meat definitely sounds better than wearing another brutal earring (5%DA). I wasn't contesting that. But whatever the reasons might be for using sushi (which 90% of wars use on our server that I party with use), a 5/0/5 setup sounds like it would be more effective than a 5/5/0 setup or even a 3/3/4 setup.
I guess it sort of is a trick question now that I think about it. If you're trying to go all out being the best war on the server you're going to probably do the 5/5/0 + meat setup. I'd imagine 'middle-of-the-line' to upper level wars would do 3/3/4 and alternate between sushi and meat depending on camp/other merits/weapons being used.
Just sounds like the merits you pick depends on how you're building your WAR.
I think i'll do monk instead of war as next job >_>
Lets end the Meat sushi debate now LOL
I apologise for possibly starting that with a random thought
Agressor is what makes war king imo. Any job can get berserk any job can get double attack and several jobs can use axes well and ridill. But agressor makes warrior stand out. Focus is a huge thing for monks too.Originally Posted by Damen
Even in exp you need aggressor for things like thf mobs, wyverns, nin mobs, etc etc-- you don't always get to choose exactly what gets pulled when, having aggressor ready at one exact moment can easily be the difference between chain 8 and chain 80.
On hnm's there's absolutely no question about aggressor, and zerk vs da would lean heavily towards zerk.
I personally wouldn't dare consider less than 3 in aggressor, it's just too big of a deal.
