Jovy's reward/Hero of Nalbina

First time poster, long time reader...

I just spoke to Jovy, he gave me the whole hero spiel, and then rewarded me with an Elixir... and a Knot of Rust. Knowing that Knots of Rust generally mean I just got f'd on a reward, did I just get f'd by the game on this as well? i.e., should I reset and try again?

No, he always gives an Elixir and a Knot of Rust.

Quest rewards =/= Treasure Coffer rewards.

Thanks, I obviously assumed that quest rewards were set in stone. But knowing what I've been told about Knots of Rust (I haven't poked around in any guides yet), they are placeholders for better stuff. Just wanted to compare notes.
