Someone is selling Super Famicom Chrono Trigger complete in the box, etc for 29.99 + 8 dollars shipping... this seems like a steal, should I get it you think?

Holy shit.. he is also selling Link to the Past for 29.99, mint in box, complete. Unless I am missing something, seems like he could get more for it.

Thats the ebay store. The guy ships directly from Hong Kong so that may be it.. he has some sick shit in there.
lol HongKong stuff, most of its prob bootlegged. It may be the original game, atleast the circuit board, the case is probably new, plus everything else. HK is the king of kings when it comes to selling fakes. It may just be a game ROM wrapped up pretty.
Well, they arnt really fakes, but they arnt the original. The box it comes in, the manual, maps, etc are all real, but they wernt made by Nintendo or whomever.
So yeah, youre getting the game, but its not the 'real' original game.
Btw, I dont remember if SNES was region locked or not, so thats another reason why it may be cheap.

I think it's OK.
Yeah, I mean sure theyre ok, theyre the real deal, but I dont think theyre the original game thats never been opened. If it was they wouldnt be selling 20+ of them and wouldnt be so cheap.
I appreciate the feedback Seph, I do.
With that said, with the status of them that you mention, will it actually affect any way that I use the game? Or would it look, any different? Or is this just a rarely known point that doesn't really matter? And I don't mean that to discount your comments, I am just wondering what kind of affect this would have on the games?
Judging by the extreme amount of positive feedback he has, the impact of any such activities (if he engages in them) must be pretty minor.Originally Posted by Po
IOW, most people seem pretty happy with their purchases.
Yeah, im not sure, I never bought a HK game, but looking at his comments they seem fine. Im just saying its real, but its not real, lol if that makes any sense.
Ive bought HK anime before, thats the only reason I know a little about this stuff, the only difference I could ever tell was a very slight loss of quality. That was several years ago, and now im sure theyre pretty flawless.
So somehow its an emulator that they run on the SFam? And they obtain the cart, box, manuals, everything? Pretty in depth to sell something for 30 bucks o.O
It may not be a ROM, but I know thats how some American? companys make those crappy all in one things. Ever see around Christmas time a fake game system that you get about 5 SNES cartridges with 50+ games on each?
Same concept, but I dunno if they are using real circuit boards or not.
The manuals, boxes, cartridges, etc are easy made and very cheap.
Manuals are direct photcopies and massed produced for just a few cents each, same with the boxes. Dunno how the do the cartridges though, may be a cheap remanufactur, or taken off from old games, or cheaply bought.
One game can be made for probably under 1$
Gogo sweat shops.
Think they do it with the systems too? Or do those require a lot more?
No clue on that, probably a lot more effort though.Originally Posted by Po
